The Timo Meier Lore drop is so funny… on today’s Sportpanorama we learnt:

- Siegenthaler keeps inviting him over to cook for him and his girlfriend (the last thing he ‘cooked’ was a Raclette, which literally involves you buying Raclette cheese and boiling some potatoes)

- his favourite dish is an Olmabratwurst with onion sauce and some fries (the most Swiss answer you could give)

- is helping his local hockey club on a consulting basis and they haven’t uploaded his picture on the website yet so the moderator had to ask Timo if it was actually him

- the 4 Swiss devs are constantly hanging out and speak Swiss-German with each other, and hold regular Raclette evenings together

- he got his number because when he went to the U20 he was the youngest and 28 was one of the only number they had left, and then he got scouted with that number and when he tried to get it changed in camp the Sharks GM said ‘absolutely not’, and it’s his lucky number now, and in NJ he went back to 96 (birth year) but now he said ‘nah, it’s gotta be 28)

- gets incredibly nervous watching hockey on the TV and he usually watches hockey with his boys

- loves watching soccer and occasionally practices with his fave soccer club over summer

When I finished watching the Haunting of Bly Manor, I wasn’t frightened of a single thing anymore, not the lady in the lake, none of the ghosts, no shadows in mirrors or anything. Somehow every scary thing had turned into something understandable, everything and everyone had a reason for doing what they did, you saw that they felt love and pain and insecurity, just like you. And that took the horror away. It was like fear had turned into love, and peace. And that was beautiful. One of the things I loved about that series.

my take on the 'i think you thought it was more' line

SO!!!!!!!

we all know the infamous line. boris saying he thinks theo may have thought it was something more, that they only did it because they were bored and high and there were no girls around. and obvi, like, wtf? boris literally had a girlfriend at the time and theo didnt really have a huge interest in that stuff past what a normal 13 y/o boy experiences, so what the fuck?

but lets think about this. boris knows theo inside out, like the back of his hand. every twitch, every glance, the way he holds himself and dresses and his tone of voice, everything, to a tee. and we know theodore decker- he hates change. detests it. fears it, yes, but more than that theres a deep and undying hatred for change and the unknown and the future. and of course, of course boris knows that

so i think boris KNOWS. he knows how theo feels about him, he knows theo is gay, he knows it was always something more even when he didnt want it to be and he knows theo almost said i love you that night because cmon, of course he knows. BUT.

but theo hates change, and boris hates what theo hates. if theo doesnt like something, or fears it, boris does everything he fucking can to avoid the topic of whatever it is around theo or else eliminate it completely.

so he lies. he lies about what it meant to him, lies about why he did it and lies about his wife and son. he lies so that theo doesnt have to, because deep down, we all know theo would never just admit that. if boris had looked him dead in his eyes that night and told him he remembered everything and he loved it and loved him and it always meant something to him, theo wouldve either denied it deeply or RAN. boris would've lost him again, and he knows how bad losing theo the first time felt.

so he lies. and he knows, and he lies anyway. theo probably knows, deep down, in some spiritual way that he knows boris, that boris is lying. but he lets boris lie about it and lies to himself to agree so that things dont have to change again.

I am going insane after reading that chapter

The fact that Steve has that look of complete shock and says “Bucky?” in a tone of utter disbelief because he thought the person he loved most in the world was dead and gone and was never coming back so much so that he drove a plane into the ocean only for Bucky to look at him void of any recognition or emotion and steve then says in the most heartbreaking voice “he looked right at me and didn’t even know me” in a tone only comparable to after he watched bucky fall to his death is something that has haunted me for 10 long and hard years
