Star Wars is not here for your armor misconceptions. In a response that’s getting some digital ink, the official Star Wars page’s reply to a clueless comment on Phasma’s armor. Just say no to actually dangerous boob-plates!
“not to be sexist” [what follows is completely sexist]

One of the last five northern white rhinoceroses in the world has died.
Nabiré, a 31-year-old female northern white rhino, died of a ruptured cyst. Nabiré’s death leaves only three females of this subspecies alive. One male, Sudan, survives on a reserve in Kenya.
This should piss everyone off. We are going to be the generation to drive Northern White Rhinos to extinction. All efforts to breed the remaining Rhinos have been unsuccessful so far.
Hundreds of kids killed in Syria, no one bats an eye. A lion killed and the whole world gets in a uproar.
Kids in Syria aren’t endangered.
Imagine being this stupid
THANK YOU! Sorry but there's a difference between a species with a population of over 7 billion and a species with a little over 20,000. Of course it sucks that kids are dying, but this is why it's so important for everyone to care about poaching and big game hunting as well as the impact humans have on the environment.
When someone uploaded the monkey selfies to Wikipedia last year, photographer David Slater took issue. It was his camera, so the copyright fell to him, and Wikimedia Commons should take it down, in his opinion. The whole thing ended when the US Copyright Office issued a public draft stating that works created by animals are public domain. So are any works supposedly created by supernatural beings, just FYI, the Copyright Office added. In other words, this photograph is free to share, reblog, deface, print out on a poster with the words “MISSING” and “REWARD 5,000 bananas” and go out into the jungle to show it around, or do anything else with.
The monkey is a Celebes crested macaque from Indonesia.
Photographer Michel Denis-Huot, who captured these amazing pictures in Kenya , said he was astounded by what he saw: “These three brothers (cheetahs) have been living together since they left their mother at about 18 months old,’ he said. ‘On the morning we saw them, they seemed not to be hungry, walking quickly but stopping sometimes to play together. ‘At one point, they met a group of impala who ran away. But one youngster was not quick enough and the brothers caught it easily’.”
Then these scenes followed
and then they just walked away without hurting him.

My first week of Thailand is through! I love working with the animals, veterinarians, and people over here. The surgeries have been amazing and have all gone smoothly! Next week will be elephants!
Some pictures from Hong Kong and the Thailand market from earlier tonight in Chiang Mai. Everything is up for haggling at the market, and everything is relatively cheap. I bought a nice pair of pants today for what would be the equivalent of $3. The people are sweet and many even speak English. The city is crazy but they are so relaxed compared to the people you see in America. Ready for my first full day tomorrow working at the Animal Rescue Kingdom!
Beautiful New York City. Looking out at this city makes you stare in awe at what we've accomplished, but also gives you a sense of "what the hell have we done to this planet?"
