I’ve been thinking about people who, if they’re either suffering through mental illness or they’re suffering through addiction, they have an everyday struggle, no one pats them on the back every day, but every day they are actively fighting something, but there are so many days that nobody gives them credit for that, and so, how often must somebody who’s in that sort of internal struggle must wanna say to everyone in the room, ’‘you have no idea how close I am to going back to a dark place“, or ”you have no idea“.

OMG so I just read an article about Olive Garden’s CEO being stoked and thankful that Taylor name dropped them in NBNC, anyway, so even though Este was the one who picked Olive Garden for the song, I think Olive Garden being featured in a Taylor song was always meant to be, because wouldn’t you know it, OLIVE GARDEN WAS LITERALLY FOUNDED ON DECEMBER 13TH Y’ALL

one of my favorite things to do when taylor drops an album is read all the footnotes to see who played instruments and did backup vocals and all that. and i just noticed this

scarlet pimpernel is a book that was published in 1905 about a man who is apparently nothing more than a wealthy fop, but in reality a formidable swordsman and a quick-thinking master of disguise and escape artist. The band of gentlemen who assist him are the only ones who know of his secret identity

i’m not smart enough to start analyzing so i’ll leave all that to you but i just thought it was a fun little detail
