This scene is really momentous and not because it evolved into specialshipping. What makes this scene one of the greatest moments in the history of pokespe is what it stands for. The original protagonist returns home at the end of his journey and helps a kid understand what we as readers know pokemon is about, and in turn the kid he taught grows up to become the next protagonist we follow. And knowing Yellow, she’s obviously taken those words to heart.
