I love when I’m studying outside and a bee is like “flower? r u a flower? I check! is laptop a flower? i check! No one here a flower… ciao!” and I wave goodbye saying thank you for visiting little bee!

Bees don’t think in English you fools. You imbeciles.

The bee said ‘ciao’ it’s obviously Italian

Yessss and sometimes I share my water or juice with them <3

What do you hate about the equine industry?

Pet peeves:

  • The general lack of knowledge on learning theory and how it applies to horse-human interactions.  This leads to misunderstanding of horse behavior and anthropomorphism.  Im sick self proclaimed “horse behaviorists” (who don’t know squat about learning) preaching dominance theory.
  • Clinton Anderson
  • Misuse and overuse of punishment i.e. putting a horse in “time out” after a bad ride or repeatedly whipping or yanking on horses who simply don’t understand the trainers requests.
  • Lack of acceptance of clicker training and clicker-like ways to train and condition horses.  Theres some people at the top of the sport who seem to have found using +R effective.  I think Beezie Madden used +R to train her horse to jump over water jumps? and I think Steven Peters did something similar with dressage horses?  Anyway, people like to think that horses are special snowflakes that can’t benefit from clicker training as much as every other animal in the kingdom can.
  • People who always say “I love my horse” but have no problems with housing them in stalls without any chance to socialize with conspecifics, drugging them, and basically abusing their power over them with excessive pressure inducing gadgets/bits/training methods.
  • Futurities and the pressure to start horses young and get them far into their training within the first 4 years of their existence.

Thats what I can think of at the moment.
