Well this isn’t awkward at all. Makoto couldn’t help but laugh a tad from how..unusual the little girl was. Well she only has unusual feet, it’s not like she’s an alien or something. Besides, he can’t really say much, since he does have pomsky ears and even a tail on himself..

"N-no I can’t do that at all."

Though her company couldn't use his feet like hands as she could, the little girl wasn't confused. She faced a similar response when she first showed Sosuke her hand like feet. "That's okay!" She responds, just incase he might have felt bad for not being able to do so. Then again, he was different from other people the little girl knew.

For instance, his ears and tail.

"... How can you do that though?" She finally asked, pointing to the ears on his head, and then his tail. "Are you a wizard?"

  — ✄ — "Seashells, seashells, seashells!" Hajime sang, arms outstretched as honey eyes glistened playfully at the child. "Why are you just watching me when you can join me? That’s more fun, right?"

image

A blink, then quick grin and nod came as she continued to watch the girl before here. Of course swimming with the other would be a lot more fun then just watching!

            "Rright, right, right!"

image

She hoped around, one, Two, THREE! On her third and final hop she leapt into the water, laughing a bit before impact. Once her little head popped out of the water the child yelled.

"I will help find seashells too!"

"Ah you're up. Anyways what are doing sleeping around here of all places?" Brighton asked.

"Dearie how'd you get all the way up here anyways? There aren't many who visit here." Twila said.

The little girl looked at the two oddly shaped people before her, who asked questions she wasn't so sure that an answer would be provided for. She wasn't sure why she was sleeping here, or how she got there.

"I don't know," said she quite unsure to the questions. "Where's Sosuke and Lisa?"

—He couldn’t leave her there. So looking both ways before he continued he got back onto his scooter and headed back into town. He would let her sleep on his couch while he tried to find who these people were. If he was unsuccessful then he could wait for her to wake up and tell him where to go in order to bring her home.

Coming to his building he stepped onto the elevator of the complex and pushed the up button to the penthouse on the top level. With the small girl still heavily dreaming on his shoulder he merely smiled and carefully placed her on the couch with a pillow and a blanket. Now all he could do was wait and hope she would wake up soon.

Unaware of the actions that were being took, the small child continued to sleep. Peaceful and un-restless the whole ride to the man's home she dreamed of her family. Sweet dreams of her friend Sosuke, his mother Lisa, and all of her friends that lived out in the town a while's away from the cliff by the sea. Certain dreams turned to memories, ones where she still had her magical abilities, and others were those she shared with her sisters. Fond, small, peaceful memories and dreams.

Image

Upon being set on the stranger's couch, those dreams and memories continued for a minute or two. Not long after her little arm flopped out, and she yawned ever so softly. Waking up at times was a slow process for her, and it took a couple of minutes for the little one to come fully to. One fully apprehensive the child sat up and looked around, eyes landing on the man who, (unknowingly to Ponyo) brought her to his home.

"Where am I?"

”I see it; it’s pretty huge!” Ramona replied with a smile, finding the little girl’s sweet observation charming, maybe even innocent in its suggestion. Sure, she didn’t know who Koichi was, but she was certain that he was important to the younger girl. Her excitement was simply… infectious.

”Is he a fisherman or somethin’?”

Ramona came to this place merely out of boredom, because subspace permitted it. It was a quaint little town, with a gorgeous view of the ocean, the sun reflecting on the water with a luminescence she had not pictured possible… But to interact with a child? She had not planned on that.

And it was rather nice to be talked to instead of being looked at strangely due to her oddly colored, dyed hair.

"MMMMHMMMM~!" The little one gave in a loud, almost humming sound, answer. Of course the Koganei Maru was huge! It was a really big ship, and most of all the ships on the sea were bigger than people. Some even bigger than Sosuke's house! Which was in all a huge surprise to her. Though as the question was asked about what Koichi's occupation was the little child looked down at the ground.

Now she knew he wasn't a fisherman, or somethin', she didn't even know what a somethin' was. Trying to remember what Sosuke had said about his father she kept her eyes on the grass. That was until her memory was suddenly jogged and her head turned upwards in a quick motion.

"Koichi is the captain of his ship! They go out for a long time, and he has to be gone for a looooong time to take things to other places!"

The description wasn't spot on, she forgot some words here and there, but at least it sounded right to the child. It was true too! Sosuke had told her so.

"It’s no problem." Ryuko smiled. Despite what other people might think, she actually liked hanging around kids. They were always happy and energetic and made her think about Mako because in those aspects, she was the same. And children were (most often at least) far less judging of others around them and saw the good in each other, unlike their parents and adults in general. "Name’s Ryuko, nice to meet’cha Ponyo." What an unusual name, but somehow fitting for the young girl. "Nah, I work at the cafe a block down from the senior center."

image

Upon hearing the name of her company the small child grinned profusely, enough to eventually bring pain to her cheeks. She had never heard the name before, but she liked it either way! Hopefully it would be the name of her newest friend. She always liked meeting new people, especially ones in the town she lived in. "Nice to meet you!" She gave in reply. A small laugh came out as Ponyo ran a small circle around Ryuko, finishing it by her side. "What's a café?" Her little question was a good one, at least to the child. She had never heard of the word before and it certainly sounded funny. Then she wondered why there would be a block near the senior center. Why a block?
