I remember reading a study once that asked people in their 90s to rank the best to worst decades of their life, and the overwhelming majority were like “my 70s were the best” and ranked their teens and twenties as near the worst, and I think about that a lot when people act like if they’re not living their best life at 25 they’ve lost their chance. like nah, the longer you’ve had to learn about yourself, the more you can love yourself. there’s no expiration date on joy until you’re dead

When I hit shuffle, I want the EXACT RIGHT SONGS in the EXACT RIGHT ORDER to play. Why is this so hard for music players to achieve. Sure I dont know what songs I actually want to listen to, much less the order, but if computers are so smart they should be able to figure it out.

In short translation

  • Mikko in his own words says “I called the dude who operates this thing and told I don’t agree”
  • the dude, presumably George Parros, then told Mikko they have nine person committee who view and vote on the suspensions and fines
  • after the call Mikko then proceeded to send an email to the committee listed with EIGHT REASONS why he didn’t embellish
  • he then showed that to his teammates and who told him to go to law school after his career
  • basically Mikko said “toe pick” as the main reason, as in instead of embellishing his skate stuck to the ice and he fell
  • and that’s how Mikko got his fine cancelled
