A Reunion || Midna and Link

     Ah, many may foresee there to be a loving embrace of a hug       or perhaps an ordinary greeting to spill from the dusk monarch’s       painted lips. The duo had endured various hardships with the       aid of each other after all, both spirits being the fault of two       wicked tyrants’ annihilation —- yet neither of these options truly       occurred. No, she merely stood upon her present location, an       expression of elegance radiating from her very existence whilst       so. The only feature which maneuvered was the { eventual }       crooking of lilac lines, urging the pale skin to crinkle underneath       c o n t r a s t i n g hues.

    Nothing regarding her visage had { altered }, nor her demeanor      for that matter. She was still characterized with intelligent assets      & a sharpened tongue. Why, perhaps this was to be proven within      the characters that escaped her, each & every letter being cloaked      in d i s t i n g u i s h i n g foreign cadence;

                                        ≺❝’ …see? I { told } you we’d see each other later. ‘❞≻

He was hesitant at first, still believing that the fiery haired woman before him was a vision of sorts, but her presence alone gave signs that it was truly her. After so much time fighting side-by-side, there was nothing that could sever such a bond. Link went to embrace the princess of the Twili, but stopped as he remembered his place. She was royalty after all, yet he was nothing but a farmhand... A very skilled swordsman who wielded the Triforce of Courage yet worked as a farmhand. Even with their familiarity, it would still be inconsiderate for him to act so casual towards her. So instead he offered her a warm smile and lowered his head, hand upon his breast. The time that had passed since their separation was a long one... Despite the offers presented by Zelda and the others at Hyrule Castle to become a knight or Zelda's personal guard, the young man refused. He still had a home back at his village after all, one that needed him. In the past months there had still been attacks from Bokoblins and other foul creatures despite Ganondorf and Zant's influence fading with their defeat...

"Indeed you did, my old friend... And you haven't changed a bit."

A chuckle escaped the young man, who had changed slightly since their last encounter. His skin had grown more tan from his work and a small amount of scruff had grown upon his chin. Whilst time had not passed for the princess before him, it had in the World of Light. 

"I must ask... How is it that you are in this world? With the Mirror of Twilight destroyed once more, there is no method of travel between our worlds... But, knowing you, you found a way as usual."

Link laughed warmly as arms folded across his chest, light chain mail clinking with his movement. He still wore the garb he wore from his battles, albeit without the cap, when he went out to defend Ordon Village... Unlike the rest of his equipment; the Hero's Clothes, Hero's Bow, and Hylian Shield remained in use whilst the rest was stored in his home... Save for the Ooccoo and Ooccoo Jr. They were released as soon as possible...
