PLAYLIVE 2016

For the third year in a row, I’ll be participating in St Jude PLAYLIVE! If you aren’t familiar, this is a streaming event hosted on Twitch to raise money for the kids and families at St Jude. In 2014 and 2015 our team raised over $85,000 for charity!

St Jude is an amazing organization which provides medical care for children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Patients and families cared for by St Jude NEVER receive a bill, even though the average cost of treatment is around $500,000! Everything is provided for, free of cost, including: Medical treatment, housing, travel, food, and more!

St Jude is also a leader in medical research in the fields of pediatric cancer treatment, the flu, sickle cell anemia and other serious illnesses and treatments. All of their information is available for free to any doctors, in any corner of the world, who would like to use it.

Their research and medical breakthroughs have taken the survival rate of pediatric cancer from a heartbreaking 20% in 1962 to 80% today...and they won't stop until that number reaches 100%!!!

The PLAYLIVE event enables Twitch streamers to come together to play games and raise donations for the kids and families at St Jude. So far we've raised around $1,800,000 --- BUT WE CAN DO BETTER!

I’m asking for your help. I can’t do this alone! There are a few ways you can help out with this year’s PLAYLIVE event:

Be a member of our team! DerpSquad is going to have is biggest, best year ever and we’d love to have you be a part of it. I ask that DerpSquad members stream at least 3 times between April 29 and May 31 soley to benefit PLAYLIVE. I have a bunch of assets (like overlays and graphics) that team members can use! Don’t be a member of our team! Wanna fly solo? Wanna start your own team? That’s amazing! This isn’t about me, the team, or a silly competition, it’s about raising money and awareness for St Jude and all the amazing things they do for patients and their families! Let me know how I can help!
