My handsomest boy and the best friend I ever had on his last day. Happy Birthday in Heaven, Willie. I miss you every day.
I haven’t updated in a while, and thought I would share these pictures of Willie showing off some pom pom bunnies for Easter. This was in March of 2016 and he was already gone to the Rainbow Bridge in August. You really never know how long you have these angels in your life. I still miss him every single day.
My babies hanging out and enjoying the portrait I had done of Willie. This was right before Willie went to the Rainbow Bridge. Weensie the cat was so heartbroken, he went a month later.
Now it’s been over a year since I lost my babies.
We are talking with someone about adopting a Maine Coon she needs to rehome, so I hope that by Christmas we have a new fur companion. It’s been so lonely without anyone here, but we needed the time to process the loss of these two babies.
It snowed here today, so I can’t help but think about my best pal. He absolutely loved the snow. I think his favorite part was coming inside and being dried off with towels fresh from the dryer.

This is Willie in his new Christmas knit. I always made him a new dog cowl he could wear as his every day scarf for Christmas. He loved getting new knits! I had made the headpiece for my models for a different photo shoot and was surprised he let me put them on him. He did not seem to mind them at all, and I did a whole photo sesh of him wearing them. This was only a year ago. I would never have believed then that he would not be with me this year. I still can’t believe it, really. You never know what a year will bring you. So Merry Christmas to the best pal I ever had and whom I miss every single day. I forgot I had these videos of Willie on my YouTube! What a wonderful find. This is where we used to walk everyday when we lived in the mountains. This is Sweet Briar College. We walked from the parking lot to the equestrian part every day. I kind of miss that and could use a little more of that kind of peace in my life. But I don’t miss the rest of it and I’m glad to be in civilization again.

I was looking at all the stuff I’ve had stacked up in my Tumblr queue for YEARS and decided to post this one tonight. I made this slideshow the first spring in our Virginia Beach house. So that’s almost 3 years ago. I don’t know how long this will be good because of the music, so I hope someone actually sees this. I think I tried uploading it before and it was deleted due to the music. I hope it’s not deleted again because I don’t really know where the original slide show is.. I would hate to lose this but it also doesn’t seem right to not share.

You guys just can’t believe how fun it was to go in the snow and take Willie’s picture in this big ole Gryffindor scarf, which is the I I wear if I’m in that mood. It’s going to be so sad this winter when the snow comes and I’ve got no doggy to dress up for pictures.
From last winter when we had some snow. Willie loved to dress up like Harry Potter! It was always fun. He was so perfect.

This is a little something of my sweet guy the week before we lost him. I had just given him a bath and put his special birthday cowl on him. He was over joyed to have a photo shoot! I took him to the shaded area of one side of our house, close the the garage. We were out for maybe 10 minutes, but I got the cutest pictures of him! I sure do miss my guy.

I can tell he really didn’t feel good on this day either, and it was more than 3 years ago. He struggled with so much pain in his short life. I suppose it was from being so neglected the first 5 or 6 years of his life. I cannot imagine anyone being unkind or neglect this precious dog, but they did. I would give up my own meal for him and went without my own doctor’s appointments to give him care.
I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep. I could see that you were crying...you found it hard to sleep. I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear. "It's me, I haven't left you...I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here." I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea. You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me.
