Route Review:

Soji Okita - Era of Samurai: Code of Love

I finished Soji’s route last night so I’ve had some time to sort my feelings out about it! Firstly I want to start by saying I really loved the storyline and the whole mystery surrounding the ‘divine punishments’. I really liked the murder mystery vibe of it and it was so fun trying to piece together the mystery! I never would have expected the actual person behind it though! I loved Soji’s backstory, the way he views the world is so unique and jaded. It breaks my heart to see him so pessimistic and hurting the way he does. I’m so glad that by the end of the route he gets his chance at loving and fighting for somebody other than the Shinsengumi! >w< SO PRECIOUS! The only gripe I’d have with this particular route was that it seemed a little fast paced and the feelings that Soji had towards the OC changed a little too quickly for my liking. On the whole though it was an intense and beautiful story and i would give it 8/10.

even though i don’t have the time or money to, i’m getting back into otome games. i’m still stuck in 2016 so i don’t know of any good recent releases. please leave me some to check out in the comments 🙏🏻
