“It’s not sudden! I mean ——- geeze, it took you long enough to say.”

She’s still blushing, but her surprise is wearing off and she’s regained some of her usual attitude. The kiss is sweet, if not a little unexpected, and the vampire finds herself smiling into it.

”So, uh. What now?”

“Well, you could've helped out y'know. Ya butt.”

The blush is still bright red, almost enough for her to ask Marcy to take it out for her. But she shrugs it off anyway, finding her smile this time. She can't help but kiss her again, just a little longer this time. Still smiling.

”Dunno'. Wanna' go out or something?”

She pauses, scratching behind her neck awkwardly. She isn’t good at opening up and talking about her feelings, but, well ——- thank Glob she isn’t the first one to actually say it.

”Well ——- I guess I, uh, love you too.”

“Yeah---it's sudden, I know.”

Bonnie isn't the best at these things either. They've been around a while, long enough to know how they felt. So she throws caution to the wind, almost falling forward before taking just one kiss. Only one for now.

”Well----uh, good. Glad we said it.”

The vampire only turns a deeper shade of red at Bubblegum’s words, and she looks at her for a long time. Then she glances away, and as she speaks her voice is uncertain and awkward.

“You mean, like, friend love, or ——— ?”

She wants to take her words back, start over again with a new thought, but she's too deep now. Cat's out of the bag, Bonnie. So she steps forward, hands behind her back. Marcy's not alone here.

“Like----real. I kept that shirt for a reason.”

She cools down almost immediately, though she doesn’t apologize for her outburst. “It’s cool. ——- I’ve had pretty emotionally draining week, y’know?” Oh, yeah. Seeing Simon again has really taken its toll on her. “So, watch’a been up to, Peebs?”

She looks up again, rubbing something out from under her eyes. It's been a long week for her as well. "How so? Did somebody take the apples?" Again. Still, she stands up again---offering a seat to the Vampire Queen. "Science things. Making sure Lemongrab doesn't go bananas on everyone again. Wanna' go do something if you're bored?"
