"Don't think you're safe from me either, Mr. O'Lantern. I've heard about a relationship with one of my dearest merfolk with you as well. Consider yourself next on the list of people who will get a stern motherly Ursula at their doorstep."

Beach Event Open, Room 2

Ursula smiled, sinking into the chair and looking around, sighing and looking out over the water, tentacles swishing through the sand as she kept herself upright, looking about at the sound of footsteps. "Hmm? Sorry for blocking the view a bit, it's been a while since I've been on land."

Room II - {closed cdrp beach getaway}

Alice’s attention was drawn to the voice who had spoken. When she saw the person in question, Alice was afraid her eyeballs may fall out of their sockets. The woman had tentacles. Of all the strange things she’d seen in her life, seeing a tentacle woman lying on a sleeping-chair was the strangest.

image

"Yes… Indeed… Very… Confusing." Intrigued, Alice blurted her thoughts out before she could help herself. "I don’t mean to be rude, but don’t you need to be in the water? With your-" She pointed at her tentacles.

"Oh, you mean my tentacles? I suppose, I'm more comfortable in the water, yes, but the room was paid for so... here I am." She grinned, taking another sip of her drink, gesturing to the seat beside her. "Care to take a seat, Dear Miss... ?" Ursula found it rather awkward that she didn't know the girl's name, unlike her dear little merfolk. "There's really no need to be too worried, I'm in a decent mood so consider me harmless, for now." That caused a pleased grin to flash across Ursula's features, running a hand down along a tentacle before settling again, looking over at the girl. "Do you know any of the others in the room, dear?"

"Hello! Is this room 2? I was a bit lost in the hotel before…"

Ursula sank into the sleeping chair, looking up as she saw the blonde enter the room, a smile flashing across her features. She'd be civil, for now, she supposed. "Yes dear, it is." Her tentacles made faint popping sounds as they moved, bringing her drink up to her lips. "The hotel is a bit confusing though."

Summer is in full swing and it’s time to cut loose and relax. All characters, through a mysterious donation, are being swept away on an all-expenses paid trip to a just as mysterious beach resort on the beautiful Hawaiian island, Maui.

                                       The Available Rooms

All characters have been booked into 3-Bedroom Grand Villas that house up to 11 people each. In the first bedroom, there is one (1) king-sized bed. In the second and third rooms, there are two (2) queen-sized beds. And finally, in the living room, there is one (1) sleeper chair. If there are less than 11 people in a room, then those characters do not have to share beds so long as there are enough beds available that each can have their own.

                                       Available Amenities

Each bedroom and the living has a flat-panel television and DVD player. Three (3) full bathrooms. A full kitchen that includes dinnerware, glassware, flatware, pots and pans, a microwave, a toaster, a stove, a full-sized refrigerator, and a dishwasher. Coffee maker and tea service. A private laundry area with washer, dryer, iron, and ironing board. Free wireless internet access. An in-room safe. And an extra-large, private balcony with outdoor seating. All rooms have an ocean view.

                                       Room Assignments

Under the cut are the room assignments. Because there are 11 people to a suite, sharing beds will be necessary for all beds except the sleeper chairs in the living rooms. Numbers 1 & 2 will share the king-sized bed in the first room. 3 & 4, 5 & 6, 7 & 8, and 9 & 10 will share the queen-sized beds in the second and third rooms. Number 11 will sleep in the sleeper-chair.
Couples were paired together as best as possible. Others were placed using a list-randomizer. Switching rooms or who your character will share a bed with is possible, so long as all people (muns) involved in the switch have come to an agreement and the mods have okay-ed the switch. There will be no switching rooms or beds once the event begins. ***Sunday is the last day to pull a character from the event if the mun wishes to only have one character participate.***

Please note —- Characters that are listed as on hiatus have been included if their hiatus ends sometime during the event. Characters whose hiatus extend past the event have not been included.

// OH LAWD Ursula is like "Really, stuck in a room with lovebirds. Great." lmao

"Well, milady," Hook replied with a false smile. "Had the lady thought of putting up some signs of her borders, I would have obliged them. Still, if all you ask is not to hunt in your waters, then I agree to your terms."

Taking a sip, he pondered his next inquiry, wondering how he could twist this surprise to his benefit.

"I assume you delight in the sinking of mariners, then? in some manner I find delight in such matters myself," he remarked, bringing a more sincere - yet wicked - smile to his face.

"I suppose I should do that. It's not as though many escape to tell the tale." Ursula's smile grew wide, the suckers on her tentacles causing the room to be filled with faint popping sound as they move across the hardwood.  "Although sailing willy nilly can cause so many accidents, wouldn't you agree?"

He was being civil enough, she supposed, that he didn't need to be killed quite yet. Although her lovelies do get so very hungry, under the water.

"Oh me? I don't quite enjoy the sinking part, although it is amusing enough I suppose. My pets enjoy it much more, of course. I spoil them when it comes to food. Wouldn't you agree that that is the thing to do with pets?" Another sip of the drink, a faint huff coming from her as she tried to get used to the way the human drink burned slightly as it went down. "I'm curious though. If it wasn't to hunt my pets, then what brings you and your crew to these dark waters?"

The Return || Ariel & Ursula

"Are you okay? I’m really sorry, I guess I just wasn’t looking where I was going." Ariel admitted to the woman standing before her, relieved to find that she did not seem to be too troubled by the collision. But still, this was definitely not the first impression she wanted to be making on her guests. “I’m Ariel.” The redhead smiled, extending her hand out to the stranger. As she reached out to shake the woman’s hand, Ariel’s eye caught on a golden shell resting against her wrist on a bracelet, glinting faintly underneath the ballroom lights. It seemed to be the exact replica of the shell that Ursula once used to capture her voice. And just like that, all the memories of the sea witch were recalled in Ariel’s mind, causing her stomach to clench up and heart begin to race.

It’s just a coincidence, Ariel told herself, desperately trying to calm down. Ursula’s dead; Eric killed her. There’s no way that she could possibly be here right now. She exhaled deeply, as she finally began to realize that she was just overreacting. Or was she?

Ursula smiled, dropping into a small curtsy, bowing her head to Ariel. Only for now. Keep it in control, she mustn't know just yet. Ursula's eyes remained on the redhead's, her smile almost able to be described as predatory. "I am absolutely okay, My Queen." Queen for a day. "And so I've heard. Most know me as Madame Leliana. But my name definitely isn't as pretty."

Oh what she would give to be able to look into the Princess's head at that moment, Ursula wanted to feel the dread seep in, slowly take over Ariel. Sadly, she'd just have to accept this, being able to ruin Ariel's life just as Ariel ruined hers. Oh what joy that would give. Her smile widened, her head tilting slightly as her eyes ran over Ariel's form. "Something wrong, My Queen?" Ugh. Having to call her that was going to grow tiresome.

The mermaid swam a little closer towards Ursula, wanting to know if she had heard her words properly, “Trade places?” Was that so that Arista would become the youngest mermaid? Arista wasn’t entirely sure if she liked the idea of that. She knew being the youngest also had its disadvantages from what she had seen of Ariel – but then again whatever Ariel did do she got away with, because she was the baby and Daddy’s favourite.                              “—- Yes,”

Arista nodded as she looked at the sea witch. She was probably going to be making a grave mistake, but right then all Arista could think about was the fact that Ariel got away with everything and Arista was left in the shadows, the darkness. She didn’t get to be seen or no one took heed of her achievements. “Then Ariel will be left out in the cold and I’ll be noticed again.” Arista smiled as she looked towards Ursula, all feeling of fright disappeared completely.                        “You could do that?”

"Did you ever doubt that I could?"

Ursula smiled, rising up and allowing her magic to rush around them through the water, the cauldron changing colors quickly with flashes of sand and the sound of Ursula's chuckle reverberating against the walls, procuring a small vial and dipping it into the viscous fluid, popping a sponge into it to cork it, handing it to the blonde. "Of course I can do that, dear." Given, the potion itself would make Ariel age much faster, and freeze poor little Arista in the age she is now, so she would forever remember what she did wrong. How dare anyone come to her, the grand, great Ursula. Tentacles fanned out as Ursula handed two of the vials to the girl, a smile gracing her features. "One for you to take, the other for her. These will swap your places, and I'm quite sure you'll have your Father's attention all to yourself, darling."

"You’e the only one who is allowed to tease me, my dear." She winked. "Because their actions will speak louder than words. She can still kiss him, she can write things down, she… Oh, I like that. Yes." She grinned as an idea came to mind. She reached out and took a strand of her hair between her fingers. "And I do love you excited." She smirked and licked her lips. "Let’s find her and play."

Ursula smiled, brushing a few stray strands of hair behind her ear, smiling devilishly at Regina. "Any idea where she might be? Or ingredients to a locator spell?" Ursula smiled, rising to her full height, which wasn't all that tall if she was being honest, and stretching, smiling at the woman. "I was getting rather antsy."

All Magic Comes With A Price || Open

One raspy, desperate breath at a time escaped Tamara as she struggled to keep her slowing heart beating.  The rope around her wrists formed bloody rings, which had dug further and further into her rough skin the longer she fought to free herself.  Her faded eyes glanced down at her tail, a long shimmering tail that was just far enough into the water to exist, but not far enough to quench her.  She could feel herself shriveling away, despite the cold pool that she was only partly immersed in.  It was torture, pure torture to be so close to the very thing you needed, but not be able to get to it.

She had fought so hard to free herself from the laughing pirates, who in their drunken state thought it would be amusing to tie her up and leave.  And there she hung, suffering the same fate as so many others before her, drying up with every slow minute that passed, gasping for life.  She fought so hard.  But it wasn’t enough.

Time dragged on, minute after minute, hour after hour.  Until that moment, Tamara had always considered it a gift to have the magical capability of having either legs or a tail.  Once she learned how to use her legs, the transformation opened up a whole new world of possibilities for her.  It allowed for new places to explore, learn, and of course, hunt.  But now, as her bare chest heaved in desperate search for air, she considered it the greatest of curses.  For it was this magic that was keeping her alive.  It was this magic that was delaying her death and making her suffer so miserably.  If she could exist in only one form, she would have been dead hours ago.  Her suffering would have been quick.  She would have been freed again.

But no, her misery dragged on, escalating to a new desperation she had never felt before.  She wished for death.  Oh, to end it all!  To suffer no more and feel the end of it near.  She had been told once by a strange man that all magic comes with a price.  In her arrogance, Tamara had dismissed the odd saying, believing that magic only produced power.  It was true, her magic had produced power in her, power that made her deadly and feared.  But it was here, at the end of all things, that Tamara had finally understood the words of the strange man.

Here, at the end of all things, she had finally found her price.

Ursula rose slowly from the bottom of the pool, her tentacles swishing through the waters as she tutted at the sight of this poor unfortunate soul.

"Oh my my, what have we here?" Ursula's tentacles slipped out of the water, latching onto crevices in the rocks as she was brought to eye level with the mermaid, water cascading over the girl. "Dear me. It seems someone decided to play with pirates." Ursula's head tilted slightly as she ran her hand along the mermaid's cheek. "Poor thing, left to dry." She sighed, tentacles splashing the water in a small bit of frustration as she brought up enough for the poor thing to breathe. "Really dear you should think about these things before you make deals for special magicks."
