"Do you think koi fish are the bringers of love, instead of luck?" This is apparently what Riku thinks about when watching koi fish swimming around in a fountain. "Swimming their way into your hearts with their prettiness, kind of like...Love Fish." /Get it/.
“ I feed the koi all the time and I’m still waiting for my one true love to come sweep me off my feet... I don’t know if that’s true. What if there were pink koi? That would really make it lovely! ” Lyric offers the bag of koi food she got from the market down the street, watching as they crowded around. “ I might be too old or too busy for my love life now though. ”
“ Unless ... koi are the love of my life ! ”

“ I’ll step on you. I swear that I will. ” Not that a little woman of her stature could do much --- but he was kinda small too so... maybe. “ You can’t fill a void you’re already filling, and if you don’t think you’re a decent person, then you need a cookie, or ten. I’ll feed you. Let Mama Lyric feed you and make you feel better. Also get a towel for your sweating, that can’t be good. ”

the sudden voice prompted a slight jump from meliora. she walked in, eyeing the various amount of pastries in the display case. “a-ah, maybe you have…” she looked around the empty store, it seemed as though she was the only one here. “i’m assuming you make these yourself, so w-what’s your favorite?”
“ There’s plenty out already, I do have some in the oven, if you’re willing to wait. ” Hand comes up to tap at her chin, hazel gaze wandering ceiling-ward. “ My favorite? The button cookies up by the register are --- you’re welcome to take a sample if you like, there’s chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry in their corresponding colors! ” In which her hand gestures toward a small basket. “ Now ... what’s your favorite, m’dear? ”
“ Everyone needs a hug from time to time. ” Arms spread briefly, all before she retracts one to lift a hand to her lips. “ Well ... perhaps not all the time, it must be weird to get hugs from strangers. How about some chocolate? That’s a scientific hug to the senses! ”
“ I oftentimes sew my own clothes. Not that it’s any cheaper, but clothes that i sew myself do tend to fit a little better. ” During a breaktime, Lyric sits with a pastel galaxy patterned fabric resting on her knee as she hems the edges inward. “ What do you think? It’ll be a skirt when it’s done. ”
“ Yes of course! Just like that. ” Skilled hands watched those of her lately-proclaimed daughter, adjusting here and there just to make sure everything turns out perfect, as it usually does. “ Soon enough you’ll be able to make things for the bakery on your own --- and I can officially put you as a baker! Of course I think you already are but the health department tells me otherwise. ”
“ Someone stole the cookies I baked! ” Hand holding an egg beater whipped in the other’s direction, perhaps accusatory. “ It was Professor Plum in the Library with the Candlestick! ” Quoting some of her favorite board games wasn’t going to help her catch the culprit, but it did help mood a bit. “ Who do you think it was? ”
“ Sometimes I wish I could fly like a wyvern --- they’re so adept at things like that, but at the same time, I don’t know how I’d fancy having wings for arms. What about you? Though... I suppose the easiest solution would be to be a dragon instead. ”
