i'm probably not going to word this post very well, but i felt like s4e3 did a great job at showing off how rick cares about morty but how that care is very unhealthy. rick was given a chance to show morty how much he cared for him by encouraging morty to follow one of his dreams and do something that makes him happy, but instead rick goes through with an elaborate scheme to crush morty's dreams so that morty will continue to be dependent on him and go on adventures with him for as long as possible. rick cares about morty, but this care is mostly posessive and focused around rick's emotions rather than morty's.

What is the difference between Pilot Dib Series Dib Movie Dib and Comic Dib? I've seen a lot of people talking about it but I still don't get it very well.

they are all very similar but have some differences

Pilot Dib, has absolutely no chill. The other Dibs are more precautious and collected, this kid sees a way to almost kill zim and goes for it with no hesitation

Series Dib, is a bit more collected than Pilot Dib, but not for much, while he mostly has good intentions he can be a jerk too

Comic Dib, a bit more collected than series Dib. His design is a bit different. They also make a bunch of jokes of how Dib has been trying to stop Zim for so many years now that him and Zim just really don’t care much anymore, their battles have become routines at this point, and that’s just hilarious but we also see that Dib takes Zim’s plans in a more casual way than he does in the show

Movie Dib. Perfect. Look at him. Perfect son. Perfect new design. His sister is way better to him, his father is at least trying to be better. This baby can be happier now.

But he’s also still Dib so the first thought he has when he sees Zim depressed crying on the floor is not “oh maybe we could be friends now” is “oh great now i can expose him to the world with no problem”
