are you coming back?

Aww, hello there! I just saw this message because I’ve only checked tumblr now... I’ve been away from it for so long. Sorry I haven’t been around. Life has just been super busy. Idk if I’m coming back, I have no time to make gifs and edits anymore. But we’ll see! I’m not closing this tumblr down though and all my stuff will still be here for everyone to go back to/reblog/like/enjoy. :) Maybe I’ll be back at some point, who knows! Thanks for dropping by x

Got tagged by @saidthebutterfly. Cheers :)

1. Do you have any secret guilty pleasure fandoms and, if so, what are they?

I don’t think I have any. I’m pretty vocal/showy irl about my love for Liverpool/football/other sports, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Sherlock, Marvel... That’s it, I think. I don’t watch a lot of tv shows. No secret fandoms :)

2. What’s the farthest you’ve ever traveled from home?

8,507 miles.

3. Coolest place you’ve ever been to on your travels - not a city or country, but actual landmark spot in one of those places that you experienced and loved?

Hmm, I wouldn’t really describe landmark spots as cool, but rather the experience of seeing the actual landmark, or the act of immersing yourself in it. Do Anfield and other sporting venues count? I’d say Anfield for obvious reasons. The other football stadiums I’ve been to are also cool. AT&T Park in San Francisco is also cool. But if we’re talking about actual landmarks... So many lol. The astrological clock in Prague is super cool. Parc Güell in Barcelona. The glockenspiel in Marienplatz in Munich. Manneken Pis in Brussels is also cool and hilarious, with his fountain and all his cute little outfits. The Cu Chi tunnels in Vietnam were cool too, where I got to crawl into the tiny tunnels where the people hid during the war, and got to fire a rifle used by the Viet Cong soldiers (but it’s so hot there omg). It was magical for me when I saw the Three Graces in Liverpool and the Tower Bridge in London - they will always be on the list of my favourite structures in the world. The Swiss Alps. The cave tunnel in Mount Pilatus and Löwendenkmal in Lucerne. The Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto was pretty cool too. The castles all over Europe. El Arco in Cabo San Lucas. Ah, there are far too many to list down and I feel like I am doing an injustice to all the other places by leaving them out.

One of the coolest things I’ve done in my last trip though is a visit to Musée Mécanique in Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco. If you’ve watched The Princess Diaries, that’s where Mia and Queen Clarisse played vintage arcade games. It was soooo cool! I got to play with the Luchador arm wrestler - which was impossible to beat, I swear. I also got to play some games, but this vintage Atari Star Wars game was the coolest. I was the pilot of an X-wing and I had to shoot down Tie Fighters. The other games were so creepy and there’s this thing called Laffing Sal. Her face and laugh are stuff of nightmares - my cousin ran out the place when her husband slotted in a penny to make Sal laugh. But the entire place is so cool. So much fun.

4. Favorite movie you think no one else has ever heard of before?

The Spanish know these, I’m sure, but we rarely get Spanish films, so... Primos, La gran familia española, Ocho apellidos vascos

5. What was your first online fandom?

Football. It’s the only online fandom I have. I used to stay away from online fandoms and forums, but I became a Kickette regular. Man, I miss that site.

6. If you could live anywhere in the world with no concerns about money or quality of life, where would you live and why?

Liverpool, again, for obvious reasons - I love the city, the people, the culture, and LFC. I can also see myself enjoying living in London, another city I love. Also San Francisco, because it’s practically my home in America.

7. What would be your dream job/ideal career?

I just want to be paid to travel around the world, take photos, immerse myself in the culture, and eat. Haha.

8. What celebs/athletes/etc are currently on your Free 5 list?

I’ll stick with my usual - Jordan Henderson, Claudio Marchisio, Mats Hummels, David Silva, Emre Can, Marco Reus (I know I listed 6. I just couldn’t leave one out)

9. When did you stop believing in Santa Claus and what’s the story of how you figured it out?

I think I was nine or ten. My parents purposely wrapped my present from Santa with the shop’s carrier bag instead of wrapping paper. Naturally, I asked why it was like that, and they told me the truth. They also told me to keep it a secret from my younger brother.

10. One thing you most of all from each of your favorite fandoms this year?

One thing I like most? Jürgen Klopp is now LFC manager. Lol. I still can’t believe it tbh. As for the others... Harry Potter - Fantastic Beasts is filming in Liverpool. GoT - the Hardhome episode, and Arya killing Ser Meryn Trant. Star Wars - cannot wait for The Force Awakens. Marvel - the Suicide Squad and Deadpool trailers. Sherlock - cannot wait for the Christmas special.

11. Song that you’re listening to more than all others at the moment?

Can’t Feel My Face, Locked Away, Cheerleader, and Trap Queen. Quite embarrassing for me because this is so not my type of music, but these songs (plus a few others) were always on the radio while in America and they just stuck with me.

brendan rodgers divorced his wife, started seeing a young secretery in the liverpool club and completely lost interest in the club after that.

Huh... I don’t understand why you sent me this message tbh. I don’t know what you expect me to say.

I disagree. I don’t think BR lost any interest in the club. I doubt very much that it’s the reason why he failed. He just didn’t know what to do anymore. Everything he was trying to do wasn’t working, but he was fighting for his job until the very last second. As for his personal life, I don’t really care about that - it’s none of my business.

I’m not a big fan of Rodgers and neither am I a Rodgers apologist, but can you let the man be? There’s no need for this kind of discussion. Can’t you just move on already and enjoy the Klopptomania ride along with all of us? :)

Hi! It’s been a long time since I was last around here that it kinda feels foreign typing up this post. I was away on a trip in the US and Mexico hence the absence but I’m back... sort of. :) Special thanks to @saidthebutterfly who sent me an update on what I’ve missed whilst I was on holiday.

My thoughts are all over the place but I need to get them out of my system, so I’ll do this in bullets:

  • I still can’t believe BR got sacked - in the sense that he’s been manager for 3+ years and it seemed like he was never going to get the boot.
  • It was inevitable, though. He was like a candle that’s been waiting for its dying flame to finally be put out.
  • His sacking is NOT a cause for celebration.
  • Whoever will replace him will inherit all the internal issues and conflicts that BR left behind.
  • I’m not a massive fan of BR but I liked him - he accepted the challenge of becoming LFC manager and he really, sincerely tried to succeed at it. It just really didn’t work out due to a lot of reasons, which led us to distrust him, and that is a shame.
  • The 2013/14 season was the most exciting time in my life as a LFC supporter. Man, that was amazing. He, along with the team, made us dream.
  • Never, ever disregard that season, because that was the closest we ever got to winning the league in a long time. Credit to him for that.
  • I think he’s got what it takes to be a good manager, just not with us, and not at this time. He already lost his way quite some time ago. It was so painful to watch him experiment with systems and lineups and what-have-yous with LFC. Would be interesting to see if we got him later down the road, and not during his rookie period.
  • I agree with Carra - we are now like Tottenham.
  • Ball’s now in FSG’s court as they select the new manager. Will they deliver their promise of achieving success at the club?
  • Exciting times are ahead as we await the announcement of the new manager - but also quite dangerous, because replacing a manager is never a surefire way to success. It could go the other way.
  • All these names are being thrown around but it’s terrifying to think about the possibility of FSG picking a replacement who’s another unproven rookie manager. The fans will deffo not be happy if they don’t pick the man we want.
  • Lastly... #KloppForTheKop (Also #SignReus #SignHummels and can those who left come back now - Agger, Reina, etc? Looool jk but not really)

Thanks for everything, Brendan Rodgers. All the best. YNWA.

nO but literally Hendo is so important to the team, like yeah he may not score goals and doesn’t have crazy skill but his impact on the goals we score is evident in his passing and crosses, his progress and development as our new skipper is VRY IMPORTANT this is the guy who played a full 90 and was considered the MOTM when he was so sick he was supposed to not even be on the bench, this is the guy who played 10 GAMES with a broken hand 2 seasons ago so any prospect of him getting any injury and missing a game makes me vry sad and this is me overreacting but I just love him so much

All of the above + I always feel giddy every time someone says or writes "Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson" or like when Joe Gomez posted a pic of them together with the caption "with the skipper" and just omg I'm so proud of him his journey has been amazing and will continue to be amazing and I will always love him ok brb going to drown in all my feels

Me: What will I do next season with PHIL NEVILLE as Valencia's assistant coach? How can I bear to look at that bench and see someone I loathe?
My voice of reason: Don't be so dramatic, it'll be far from the first time you've looked upon something you loathed at Valencia. A head coach...multiple sets of owners...the frequently appalling level of football...that barren husk where dreams go to die that they call the Nou Mestalla...
Me: ...Okay but...
Me: PHIL NEVILLE'S A TOFFEE AND A MANC
My voice of reason: Oh fuck, good point
Me & my voice of reason: GROOOSSSSS

I found the post! They are adorable as always. Ads looks quite sad though. :( Hope Hendo’s cheering him up.

Ads doesn’t deserve to be the whipping boy. Neither do any of the other players.

I myself think some players aren’t performing up to par but I really don’t understand the need to single out a player just to have a scapegoat. I do acknowledge that Ads didn’t perform that well the past two matches and he really needs to step up his game, but I don’t think he contributes nothing. I believe that he can shine for us. During the Stoke match, I was questioning the inclusion of Lovren in the starting XI, but he shut me up and did very well. Last night was different (he was Lovrening again), and I still prefer Sakho over him, but that’s another discussion. The best example is Lucas really. He had an extremely tough start to his Anfield career. He was the perennial scapegoat for so many seasons. But look at him now - respected by all and is a fan favourite.

What I’m trying to say is, as long as they are Liverpool players, we should give them a chance and support them no matter what.

Criticism is fine, but there is a massive difference between that and just plain old slagging off.

Is this really the behaviour of the “best fans in the world” we so proudly call ourselves?
