As a college student, currently really hungry with nothing to eat, I understand how hard it can be to get food. Sometimes you really just don’t have the money to eat and when you do, you waste it all on fast food instead of stocking up on cheap things because you’re so tired of Ramen Noodes and canned food you could barf. So, I’ve composed a list of recipes and resources that will fit a college kid’s budget and appetite. Don’t go hungry! <3

How to Make a Masterlist

A masterlist is a post that shows all of your works, or posts that you’d like to display. If you make edits, or you write, then these are very helpful to have.

If you have a laptop:

The kind that is rebloggable:

  • Go to your blog
  • Underneath “Edit Appearance” to the right
  • Click “Mass post Editor”
image
  • Here you will find a map of every post you’ve made
  • Go back to your blog
  • Make a new text Post
  • Title it however you’d like
  • On the MPE (mass post editor) find the post you’d like to add and right click on the gray square it’s in (or picture or video)
  • Click “open in new tab”
  • Go back to the text post
  • Type out the title of the post you’re going to add a link to
  • Go to the post in a separate tab and copy the link from it
  • Head back to the Masterlist
  • Select over the title you typed
  • Choose the figure eight in the middle of the bubbles above your title
image
  • A new grey bar should come up
  • Paste your link into the grey bar
  • Press “Done” to the right of the bar
  • Your title should have a grey line under it
  • I would suggest that you save your work once you’ve done the first link, and put it into your drafts
  • If you aren’t sure where to go from here, there’s more advice below

The kind that opens up on a new page:

  • Go to your blog
  • Click “Edit Appearance” to the right
  • To the right of the header “Website Theme” there’s a grey box that says “Edit Theme”
  • Click it
  • Here you will find more detailed ways to say that to edit your blog
  • Scroll down on the left
image
  • Click “Add Page”
  • (yours will not say /guidelinesandpolicy, that’s specific to my page)
  • Go to Page title
  • Title the page (I’d suggest) Masterlist or Masterpost, something indicating that these are your works
  • Go to the upper righthand corner and click so that by “Show a link to this page” the bar to the right is blue
  • Go down to the body of the white space
  • In a new tab go back to your blog
  • Underneath “edit appearance” there is “mass post editor” click that
  • There you will find every post of yours
  • Click a post you want on your masterlist and it will open up
  • Copy the link from that post
  • Go back to your other page
  • In the body of the post, type out the title of the post that you’re going to put on your list
  • Highlight the text
  • Click on the figure eight above the highlighted text
  • A grey bar will appear
  • Paste your link into the grey bar
  • Click done
  • There you have your first link to your works
  • Continue doing this for every post of yours that you want to link to
  • Once you’re done, or are going to take a break in making it, go up to the half finished link towards the top
  • after the / type in “masterlist” (do not add quotations btw)
  • Be absolutely sure to click “update preview” to make sur everything is in check
  • Then to save (blue rectangle next to update preview)
  • If you’re unsure of how to continue on from there, there will be more advice below.

If you were unsure how to go on from there, here’s some more facts and tips about masterlists.

Each link is normally sorted into a category, such as:

  • Group member
  • Group
  • Post type (scenario, one-shot, fanfiction)
  • Genre (fluff, smut, angst, humor)
  • If your post is too long for your liking, then you can put it in bulletpoints
  • To put it in bulletpoints - highlight the text and click the bubble with three dots and three lines

Many blogs keep links to their masterlists in their descriptions

To do that:

  • here is a good tutorial (not by me)

Most masterlists (as I recommend) have warnings on them

Things that you might like to warn your followers of are if your posts mention:

  • Sex related themes (like smut)
  • Depression themes
  • Homosexuality and\or sexuality themes

Examples of final masterlists that are well sorted are:
