"No, I’m fairly certain it was you," she hummed, tilting her head slightly as she glanced him up and down. "You look oddly familiar, as though I’ve seen you somewhere before. What’s your name? That might ring a bell. I’m no good with faces.”
Ella was, however, good with bodies, and this man was definitely one she was going to remember.
"It's Gaius, lady.." Since joining the band of Shepherds, Gaius didn't normally worry about telling a stranger his name, especially if he didn't think they would pose any sort of threat in the long run. Really, you couldn't have a wanted criminal in an army so close to the Exalt, now, could you? "Now, would you repay the favor and give me yours?"

Who was that? He was certainly attractive, and something about him caught Ella’s eye. Pursing her lips, she leaned in slightly with a curious expression. There was something familiar about him…
"I might be mistaken, but you look like someone I’ve met before," she explained simply, putting a finger to her chin in thought.
"Really now?.. I don't believe I've ever seen you before.." Gaius was certain of that, he remembered names, faces.. sometimes not both to the same the same person, but he still was rather well in that aspect. At least, he remembered anyone of some importance to him, and she clearly seemed not to hold anything special. "You sure it was me? It could have been someone else."
