January Goals

Time for monthly goals:

1. Lay the base for increasing credit score.

2. Lay the base for saving more money, and save at least 2/3 of paychecks.

3. Run 100 miles.

4. Bike 200 miles.

5. Swim 8 hours.

6. Read 4 books.

7. Start reading 1 textbook.

8. Apply to nutrition program.

9. Lose weight.

10. Throw away/donate 40 things.

11. Try 2 new dinner recipes.

12. Research hiking location.

13. 40 KB swings at 10 lbs.

14. Finish water challenge.

15. Start 100 happy days challenge.

16. Finish Ruth in the Bible.

17. Pick a bike century.

18. 3 yoga videos.

19. Start 30 day gym streak.

20. Start learning 1 piano song.

21. 5 hours each week on Spanish.

22. Write 1 letter.

I’m joining this. I feel like they perfectly complement each other.

Yey we’re not alone! I just… their personalities match so well. I can already tell this is probably going to end up being a rarepair but I don’t care. There are at least three of us.

I feel like Kendra is the serious girlfriend who is very fair and politically correct, and Seth is the bf she can't take in public because he keeps making really bad jokes that she secretly thinks are funny.

A dear friend gave me a cute mug yesterday. Although I don’t like pumpkin spice, I do enjoy almost everything else about pumpkin spice season! Can’t wait for boots and cozy sweaters, layers of blankets and coffee, sweat pants and cool nights.

Made a healthy dinner but it wasn’t very filling. I probably should increase my chicken to veggie ratio. 😂

Preparing for a great week ahead.

I've been trying to find ways to deal with my depression, and this app has helped immensely. I've been able to get a morning routine down minus a run, so this week I'm going to focus on running in the morning and waking up earlier. I also need to stay strong with no spending, and I'd like to continue working on eliminating binges when I get home from work. Here's to a great week!

August Goals Recap

I know I’m about a week early for this, but I am so over August. I’m ready to start fresh, and my mindset has changed since the beginning of August.

1. Read 2 books ✅ I read Mojo & Devil in the White City. 
2. PR sprint tri by 5 minutes ❌ I forgot how hilly this course was, so I’m going to let this one go. 
3. Lose 5 pounds ❌ I don’t even want to weigh myself right now. 
4. Meditate daily ✅ I missed 8 out of 25 days, but I kept coming back to it, and that matters more to me. 
5. Clean up dining room ❌it’s still a mess….
6. Finish wedding thank you’s ✅ I am so proud and relieved I got this one done! 
7. Mail 31 samples ❌did not happen, but I sent more samples out compared to last month, so I am improving. 
8. Daily journaling ✅ I didn’t do as good as meditating, but I’m getting better!

50% for this month….better than I have done other months. 😂

It’s all about small improvements, and I am happy with the progress I have made in the past 25 days.

When medication says “do not operate heavy machinery” they’re probably mainly referring to cars, but my mind always goes to forklift.
