Mrs. Jackie Kennedy had something that is (in my opinion) increasingly a missing value in today’s world: class. The kind of class that wasn’t based only on the clothes that she was wearing, but the way she was being. She knew how to behave, and how to treat other people… in opinion of her personal assistant, Kathy, she was polite and kind. Just like a real lady. She was an icon. And still is. So timeless.

“The month before JFK died, Jackie wrote her husband an exquisite, seven-page love letter … she wanted her husband to know how much she cherished their love.” —Laurence Leamer

“They escaped famine and death in Ireland to begin a new life in Boston, Massachusetts. A life of wealth, privilege, and power. From Irish peasantry, to American royalty… these are the Kennedys. The Kennedys are more than a family, they are the great American dynasty.”

Can you spot Kick? In the summer of 1940 Henry Ford II wedded Anne McDonnell, who had gone to school with her at Norton and named her as one of her maids of honor. Newspapers named this the wedding of the century!

In the outtakes of an interview, Chet Huntley asked Jackie Kennedy if she ‘was pretty much in love with [JFK]” she laughed and responded with “Oh, no!” before realizing her mistake and saying “I just said no, didn’t I?”

(He passed 8 days before. Was there not enough time to pull the ad copy? It is from Spencer Gifts, though - maybe they thought it was a nice piece of memorabilia).
