Who is it?💕
[Image Description: All-caps black text on a white background reading, “You have to marry whatever is on your phone/computer background. Who is it?” End ID.]
My background is art of the word Jesus. Looks like I'm in a very committed relationship then.
A little girl in my 4th grade class came up to me after recess and said, “I got married at recess!” and I said “Oh? I didn’t know anyone was ordained under the age of twelve.” and she asked me what ordained meant and I explained and then she said “Oh, well, no, my wife and I were married by the slide, but we’ll be happy together anyway.”
So apparently on school playgrounds, slides are already legalizing same-sex marriage.
They warned us it would be a slippery slope.
Chocolate guy has learned how to make corrugated cardboard. he is a powerful eldritch being who cannot be contained. The only reason we seem to be alive is because his interests are exclusively in the making of delicious lifelike desserts.
PACKING TAPE?? fucking PACKING TAPE??
First of all, this is genius and the sound must be on. I have a lot of comments. This was a LOT of work. Not just the animation... but the lovely and adorable handmade creatures themselves. The staging and gathering of the miniatures used, all of it. A labor of love. I am so happy to Reblog and I hope more enjoy it. Thank you so much for sharing, pretty much reset my day.
This is so sweet 🥹
That is the best thing I’ve seen today

#a few months ago i witnessed a huge ass raven violently yank a fast food bag out of an over stuffed trash can, then started munching fries
#then noticed the sweet and sour sauce that was half opened. Dipped the fry and ate it. looked like it had a religious experience.
#according to Google birds can taste sweet and sour so that raven just unlocked a whole new world of taste i think about this at least weekly
#also the raven was trying to scare off every other bird in the area the whole time, their fucking fries
#we were on a roadtrip for somewhat urgent reasons but my dad and I just sat in the van watching this happen for multiple minutes dumbfounded
#that’s been my bird story of the day
So a free tool called GLAZE has been developed that allows artists to cloak their artwork so it can't be mimicked by AI art tools.
AI art bros are big mad about it.
Seeing as Twitter is gonna legally steal your work now, please use glaze to protect what you make.
Using both Glaze and Nightshade would corrupt the generation of pictures mimicking artist AND mess with the AI's recognition of what everything is. Like it would generate a dog when you ask for a cat.
And it would be hell for AI bros to remove the cloaked pictures from their database ʕ 👀人ʔ
can i be honest im 100% for the fact that like the tradwife stay at home mom thing is really fucked culturally but also like i think we as a society have to figure this shit out because a child needs the equivalent (if not more) of a full time job's worth of work from an adult who (for the health of the child and for the ethics of the situation honestly) needs to be able to function in a way that isn't making the adult miserable because being raised by miserable adults has really tangible negative impacts on children. whether its community childcare so that simply more adults can be involved in the situation or much more robust social aid towards young families. like this might he stupidly idealistic but i think really the root of a lot of issues in society come from the fact that people refuse to understand the gravity of like. parenthood. its an insane responsibility. i think it should be treated as such
This feels appropriate for this blog
WALTZ YEAR! WALTZ YEAR!
Esral Shikh has organised a worldwide campaign to call for a permanent ceasefire in gaza. Here are the details:
Here’s how you can join the strike (as a group):
We are protesting but our protests are going largely unnoticed by the people in power, so we need to increase pressure.
Stop all operations on a working day, let the world feel even a fraction of what it’s like to have your life put on hold. It’s only a day. We can do this. If we mobilise and get people together who support this cause, we can make this happen.
17,400+ people have been killed. 7,000+ of which are children. 1.9M people have been displaced. Please. You owe it to them to speak up. Please stop this. Please call for permanent ceasefire.

I think I already reblogged this but im gonna do it again because this is a good reminder on how toxic gatekeeping it.
I’m reblogging this for the amount of thought that was put into figuring out the necessary configuration for a mertaur wheelchair.
MMMMM, the LAYERS to this.
She’s technically a monster too. She might not look it at first glance and seems mostly human, but it isn’t deniable even despite her looks compared to the other monsters.
But she realizes that she is still not like the rest of the monsters either and may not have entirely the same experiences as them, which is why she feels that she might not belong to or deserve to go to the support group. By sometimes passing as human, she feels she isn’t worthy of the space.
The sad reality though is even though she’s mostly human in appearance, that tail she has undeniably would still cause her some struggle. Humans are still gonna look at that tail and think she’s a freak. There are probably still accommodations she needs because of the tail that she may still struggle to have access to. Even if it is just the tail, that tail is still enough to other her from humans and cause her problems and discrimination.
She should get to belong in that support group even if she gets told she’s not monster “enough”. She still shares some of the same struggles as them that are caused by being a monster, and needs support.
This is an excellent demonstration of the flaws in the concept of passing privilege. Bravo to the artist.
NOW I will reblog this.

The final statement Palestinian journalist Ayat Al Khadour made before she was killed by an Israeli bombardment:
"Today the occupation fired white phosphorous bombs on the area of Beit Lahia housing project as well as terrifying thermobaric bombs. They dropped leaflets asking for the evacuation of the area and everyone left and everyone ran in the streets in a manic way not knowing where they are going. We are not together a small number of us and I stayed at home and everyone else evacuated and of course we do not know where they went. The situation is extremely frightening and the whole thing is very terrifying and what is happening is completely difficult. And may our lord have mercy on us."
I am not Palestinian, I am Indigenous American.
One hundred and forty six years ago my people were forced to move to Oklahoma, this event was known as the Ponca Trail of Tears. The land my people were forcibly moved to didn't have any proper shelter or food, so my people both froze and starved to the point we are a fraction of what we once were.
The government and schools don't talk about what America has done to my people, I only know because of my great-grandfather and his sister.
The American Government tried to take our identity away, our language is dying out. All because my people weren't living the same lifestyle the land stealers were living.
I stand with Palestine because I see Israel doing what America did to my people and the many Indigenous tribes. I know what it is like to have your identity and culture oppressed and to be dehumanized, and I refuse to let history repeat itself. I will continue to stand with Palestine even when I no longer walk the Earth.
this is such vital information !! fight genocide by learning and only using the Palestinian words for the towns and cities of Palestine, because they are PALESTINIAN.
do not let Palestine be erased through language. the colonisation of language is just as deadly.
(edit with the link! please reblog this version instead!!!!)
gazans don’t just need these e-sims to contact the world. they need them to contact other people during their worst and loneliest hours.
i can’t even imagine how it must feel, to be so afraid and alone. to just need someone to talk to.
we often call friends and family to talk to when just we’re having a bad day. and this… these people are living day by day, unsure about the next hour, surrounded by screams, bombs, artillery and rubble.
gazans need to connect now more than ever. not just to tell their stories, but to connect to other humans. to feel a semblance of normalcy in the devastation around them. to have some sort of comfort amidst all the destruction. to be able to contact their family members and make sure they’re okay. to hear their voices. to keep their hopes and spirit alive.
please please donate. please help connect gaza. please reach out and let them know you’re there.
please keep talking about them. keep posting. keep protesting. keep connecting with them, and connecting them with the rest of the world. don’t let anyone forget what’s been happening to them for even a second. the world has spent almost a century in ignorance and silence, but not anymore!
don’t let their oppressors isolate them. israel is trying their best to break their spirit. don’t let them. we must stand with the palestinians and let them know we’re with them until the very end.
the palestinian cause is our cause. their fight is our fight.
remind them that they’re not alone. don’t you dare give up. not when they’re still fighting. and even if they stop.
don’t stop until palestine is free.

To this day people will cry over the knowledge and works destroyed when the library of Alexandria was burned down.
And yet no tears are shed as Palestinian archives and libraries are bombed.
Saint Porphyrius Church, built in 1150 and the 3rd oldest church in the world has been bombed.
It's not an accident.
Israel aren't simply killing Palestinians, they are trying to erase that there ever were Palestinians in the first place.
Destroying their livelihoods, trying to to destroy their culture and history and pretend this land was never there's.
It's easy to deny someone's existence when there's no record of them.
Which is why it's so important to look at the atrocities and bear witness to what's happening.
But to also recognise that Palestine is more than it's suffering.
There is a living breathing culture, of art, history, literacy which all come from the Palestinians.
Traditions they've carried for centuries.
So while we mourn the dead, we shall fight for the living. Fight for the preservation of their crafts, amplify their voices as they speak on their culture.
Palestinian history and culture is alive. And no matter how much the world wants to erase that, they cannot and will not.
