Pool Party!

“Are you sure about this?” Bass Cleff asked Sonatina.

“I’m sure,” Sonatina nodded, adjusting the strap of her bathing suit. “I’ll take it easy. This will be good for me, and fun. How many times have I gotten to just hang out with Cookie Dough since I became a princess?”

“I still think you shouldn’t strain yourself,” Clef shook his head. “You’re not that far away.”

“I’ll be fine,” Tina assured. “I’ve got to go. See you soon.”

With that, she grabbed her beach bag, put on a pair of sunglasses, and headed out to meet Cookie Dough and Starlight at the Ponyville Pool.

“StarLight are the girls ready yet?” Cookie yelled down the hall to the mom who was getting her daughters into their suits.

“Here we are!” StarLight came around the corner with SunShine and MoonLight in their little suits. All ready to go they headed out the door to go meet up with Sonatina at Ponyville public pool.

As she walked, Sonatina took in the day. The weather ponies had out done themselves, clearing the clouds, letting the sun shine its brightest. Before she knew it, she had arrived at the pool.

“Hi, Cookie, Starlight,” she called. “Hi, girls!”

StarLight, Cookie, and the girls walk over from the ticket counter. “Hi Tina! It’s so great to see you again!” StarLight said. With everyone greeted they made their way to the lockers to put away their bags and towels and start a fun day together.

“Ok,” Sonatina shakily agreed. None of this was the end of the world, but it still made her a little nervous. Taking a deep breath, she accepted that there was nothing for it, and everything would be fine.

At that moment, there was a knock at the door. Clef opened it, with a nod from Sonatina. In came Pinkie Pie, Blood Sugar, Cookie Dough, and someone else…

“Hi, Tina.” Blood said with a smile. “We heard what happened, and thought we’d bring you some treats.”

“From Sugarcube Corner,” Pinkie started.

“And Cookie’s Cookies!” Cookie finished. 

“You guys are the best,” Tina smiled. “Thank you. But, Cookie, who’s that friend of yours?

Cookie smiled. “This is StarLight. She’s my roomate and one of my best friends. And wanted to meet you, especially given the situation.”

StarLight stepped forward with a timid smile and a blanket-covered basket in her mouth. She set it on the table beside Sonatina. “It’s nice to meet you Sonatina. I hope you don’t mind but I brought you some things.” She uncovered the basket. “Diapers, baby bottles, bibs, baby p.j.’s, some of the parenting books I read a while back when my girls were born, some carby snacks to help with your blood sugar, would you believe I had the same problem? And just a few other little things that may help you to get started with your own little munchkin. Oh and my address is in there too in case you need  anything else.” She said.

“Alright,” Sonatina looked...

Cookie nodded. “Yeah, that will be tough. But I can be there with you if you want? I’ll pull you out of there if you need me to. And I dare anyone of them to stop me.” She chuckled. “Even that hoofball playing brother of yours won’t get in my way! What do you say?”

Although encouraged by the doctor’s kind words, Sonatina still wasn’t quite ready to tell Clef, Espella and her family that she was pregnant. She wanted to talk to somepony who felt more like family to her at that moment: her friends.

Taking the short trip to Ponyville, Sonatina...

“Sure thing Tina! You can tell us anything” Cookie said, a smile on her face.
