The Last & Final Goodbye

I’ve enjoyed my time here (While the community was at the peak anyway), but to be blunt, this site that was once filled with amazing people, pictures, stories, ideas, advice, memes, gifs, and so on, has died. The majority of the users that were mutuals have already left, and the content has not only diminished, but has been censored. The lack of users being able to express themselves is nonexistent. Because of this, I will no longer be using this platform- if you can even call it that anymore. I’ll be deleting this account and moving to Reddit, Tiktok, Twitter, Instagram, Etsy, and Facebook from now on.

That’s it... I’m done.

I’ve loved the free wheeling, messy, noisy place that Tumblr was. It was a way of getting a view of things that weren’t censored to hell and back and actually challenged me and made me a more informed, better person.

Now, half the blogs I followed are either no longer available or are missing half the content that I want to see. If I want a sanitized version of the world, I’ll keep reading my Facebook feed.

I want all that mess back. I miss it. The reason I was here was because of the mess. Now you’ve gone all neocon on me and frankly, I’m offended that you think you know what is best for me as an adult consumer.

So, as of December 18, I’ll be deleting my Tumblr blog, account and app.

Who cares? I’m just a nobody with minimal followers that makes very rare posts. But you have successfully destroyed a community that I very much enjoyed basking in. I don’t know where I’ll find a replacement, but I’m done. It’s a minor protest and I’m sure that Tumblr’s numbers won’t change an iota because of it, but it’s still my protest. It’s my way of saying “fuck you”.
