Everybody acts like each new Game Changer is a new level of betrayal and psychological torture from Sam towards his friends. Did we forget that the very first game changer was "Sam wheels out a strange machine and asks the contestants embarrassing personal questions, the veracity of their responses is judged by the Machine. The machine is actually controlled by the contestant's significant others who have been made accomplices. Forcing their loved ones into revealing shameful truths for internet broadcast." And sure, he's gotten a bit more personalized with these, constructing a variety of torture chambers for Brennan Lee Mulligan specifically, putting Grant O'Brien in various situations and then bringing his mother onto the set. But deception and betrayal were part of Game Changer from the beginning. So, when I hear people say "I can't believe Sam WENT THERE" about something all I can do is think to myself He went nowhere He's been there the whole time
This is how Superhero v. Supervillain dynamics form.
gamechanger has 2 storylines. one is the episode to episode shenanigans, the escalation of games. the other is an extremely slow psychological thriller that exists only between Brennan Lee Mulligan and Sam Reich.
My Star Trek friends, reblog with your favourite most ‘out of context’ Star Trek image

yknow it's a real shame that romans didn't have access to australia specifically for augury reasons. i really wish i could have seen a roman augur have to deal with australian birds. like imagine trying to properly interpret an omen from a fuckin. cassowary
loving that the general consensus here is that "the omen when you see a cassowary is that you are about to die of cassowary"
The cassowary evaluates your innards, not the other way around

Sometimes I think about how Esme Weatherwax desperately wanted to be the evil twin, but the logic of narrative causality constrained her to be good after Lilly turned evil.
#and she hates it#she hates it so godsdamned much#she’ll do it but christ alive#and iirc when she finds out that lily didn’t try to have *fun* being evil she absolutely snaps#which kills me because it’s like ‘i had to become your narrative foil and you didn’t even have fun???’#‘i would be ruling the world if i was the evil twin and you didn’t even have fun?????’#‘what the hell were you doing it for if not for fun??? get down here i’ll maul you’ (via @thestuffedalligator)
Even worse, Lilly was convinced that she was the good one.
weatherwax family trait: no fun allowed
"average witch has fun" factoid actualy just statistical error. average witch has 0 fun per year. Nanny Ogg, who is currently blasted on scumble & is leading a sing-along about the delights of buggery, is an outlier adn should not have been counted
hes so real for this
here's my holding out for a hero xenk edit <3
so appropriate, so true
i am in fact NOT being very brave about it and will whine and complain until i die. As is my right
I think at one point or another everyone should become slightly obsessed with a show (preferably 10+ years old) that 99% of their mutuals don't care about. it builds character. keeps you humble
Me about Gundam Wing.
Do you think that Obi Wan ever threw his arms up and said “Anakin, I’m getting sick and tired of these shenanakins”?
