My daughter has not seen her biological dad since she was four. She’s 11 now. When she was two he contacted me and asked if I would allow him to terminate his parental rights so he could stop paying child support and I agreed.. I wanted to spare her the heartache of a revolving door father and the sacrifice of the financial support was well worth him never being able to disappoint her again. I never lied to her about where he went or who her dad was.. I have always answered her questions in the most age appropriate way possible. When she was four he contacted me and told me he has been diagnosed with cancer and would like to see her. I set aside a day and we met in the park. He had asked for two hours. He stayed 20 minutes and we never heard from him again.. Over the summer we ran into somebody that knows him and they commented on how she looks like his other children. They elaborated that he has settled down and has a family now. My stomach tied itself in knots thinking of how hurtful that must be to my daughter.. I cut the conversation short and we got in the car to leave and that’s when I saw her smiling. She said “mom.. He figured out how to be a dad. That’s such a nice thing. I’m happy for his kids.” And that’s the day an 11 year old taught me all I need to know about forgiveness

As some of y’all may be aware, there are horrible things going on in the world today.

All in just today, these have happened.

  1. There was a 7.0 earthquake in Japan.
  2. There’s a tsunami warning in parts of Japan because of it, too.
  3. There was an earthquake in Mexico.
  4. In Beirut, there were 2 suicide bombings and they killed 40+ people.
  5. In Baghdad, there was a funeral that was bombed and at least 19 people were killed.
  6. In Germany, there were 8 dead babies found in a flat.
  7. There was a Ukrainian helicopter that crashed in Slovakia, and it killed 6 people.
  8. In Paris, there was 1 bomb (that was assumed to have been a suicide blast).
  9. In Paris, there were also 5 other explosions.
  10. In Paris, there have been many shootings.
  11. In Paris, over 60 people have been taken hostage.
  12. In Paris, there are still uncaught gunmen.
  13. In Paris, with all of what has happened, there have been at least 160 deaths, and the number keeps increasing.
  14. In Missouri, 3 men were charged with confirmed terrorist threats.
  15. Donald Trump said things against Ben Carson (but that’s politics, folks). But he crossed a line when he started comparing Ben Carson to a child molester (need I explain why we shouldn’t compare people to things such as a child molester, and how that normalizes such behavior- not only joking but literally, too?).
  16. A guy on Twitter started making threats to kill children and Jews, and defied a judge’s orders to stop.
  17. Because of the terrorist attacks in Paris, different locations and cities in Washington D.C., New York, and Massachusetts have upped the amount of police on duty, and the LAPD has, too.
  18. On the Marist campus, there was a lockdown because of a threat a 16-year-old boy made.
  19. The German football team revealed that just hours before the terrorist attacks in Paris, they had to evacuate the hotel they were staying in, in Paris, because of a bomb threat.
  20. *EDIT* Cities with terrorist warnings: New York City, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas, London, Rome, and Toronto.

With all that has been going on in the world- TODAY ALONE- it is quite scary.

So please, if you’re someone who prays, pray for the people that have been harmed, killed, maimed, threatened, physically or mentally hurt, or have feared for their life.

And no matter what you believe in, PLEASE find websites to make donations to and organizations to help these people in need.

If anyone has any links to make donations, knows anyone that has truly been affected by any of these things (if you’d like to share a link that they’d be fine with having shared, so that people can send them love, that would be great), or knows of any phone numbers for the people that need help because of any of these things, please reblog this and comment with them.

I want as many people to feel safe and loved as possible. Anyone who has been threatened by these things or knows somebody going through any of these things, or whatever else, I want you to know that I (along with so many others) am here for you. My blog is a safe and hate-free zone. Please be careful!!

This is so heartbreaking I’m actually in tears. He truly loves her… He never spoke so openly about her like this before and you can really tell he misses her. Adorable human being.

How though ? If anything I think she is finally coming out of her shell and putting a little bit of herself out there as opposed to how extremely annoyingly guarded she was before. Understandably. Lol.

I think we all have our own opinions and I respect yours but I feel like she's trying SO hard to put herself out there and show how sexual she can be but then tries to show her perfect she is. I'm just not a fan anymore. She also puts it out there as if she never makes any mistakes when in reality everyone does.
