Crowd sourcing something here because so far no one I’ve talked to in person has experienced this before.

Do you ever get a ticklish sensation in your teeth?? For me it’s specifically my lower front teeth and it seems completely unrelated to any sensitivity to temperature or anything else. The ticklish feeling hits strongest when I take a deep breath through my nose (mouth closed) and it’s currently been going on for three days now.

It’s happened before but not for years probably and is just very annoying at this point. So I’m curious if anyone else has experienced something similar before.

There is no joy like the joy of a writer who has just figured out that a throwaway line they put into the first few paragraphs of a story is actually the key to a major plot point and possibly even the theme underlying the entire thing.

Just…yesssssss.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

Saw a sharp increase in my follower count after posting this. The legitimacy of it is driving me nuts so I also feel the need to say that you can follow anyone on here regardless of whether you’ve interacted with them or not. People like the above mentioned blog are exceptions. Perhaps they themselves think they aren’t and therefore will act like they aren’t, but they are, trust me.

Just follow anyone you wanna follow. The worst thing that can happen is maybe getting soft-blocked by the other person, but if they do soft-block you, then they were never that worth following in the first place.

I had a Terry’s Chocolate Orange once in an airport 10 years ago (they’re very hard to come by in the US, I’ve never seen them sold anywhere else) and I think about it everyday.

So what you’re saying in the replies is that they are sold everywhere and they’re just hiding them from me every time I enter a store.

So what you’re saying is some sort of evil sorcerer put a curse on me to make Terry’s chocolate oranges totally invisible to me.

Attempting to obtain the orange by other means is not working.

My mother just told me she bought me a chocolate orange one year for Christmas and put it in my stocking over the fireplace and it MELTED BEFORE I COULD EAT IT. I’m starting to think there is an actual curse on me and this is no longer a joke.

My favorite thing about this post is all the Americans in the notes gamely playing along with getting captured by the burger trap.

My second favorite thing is the Americans in the notes going "That won't work on me because [insert an ingredient on the burger they want changed/added/removed]," implying that they would fall for the burger trap if it was their preferred burger order.

had to nab these tags from @ravenvsfox

And people really do try to interact with fandom like consumers! They want « content ». They act like they can get a refund on reading a fic they don’t like. They add fanfics to goddamned goodreads without a second thought without realizing that’s as ridiculous as adding your friend’s dining room as a restaurant on yelp just so you can post a review about it

[id: two stills of Jay and Kay talking about keeping aliens secret in MIB, but edited to be about fandom: “Fandom is smart. They can handle it”

“A fan is smart. Fandoms are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals, and you know it.”]/end id.

"tumblr thinks this" "tumblr users act like that" the only thing all tumblr users do is look at posts.

some of them don't even read posts.
