Smile, friends.
Hockey Night in Canada *WANGO WANGO*
I tell ya dis is what hockey's all about. checkin' an grabbin' an knockin' out teeth. Ron's intros an Don's shit-talk. Leafs vs Habs. GETTIN' ROWDY.
My dad loved HNIC and playing NHLPA93 for Sega Genesis. I guess this is kind of a tribute to him.
Animation test for Derby- The Demolition Derby Clown! I was looking for a clip to animate to and remembered Safiya Nygaard did a video with platform crocs and Derby has platform sneakers so I thought it was perfect.
compiled some of my Army of the Doomstar shots into a reel! I think I did close to 5 minutes of animation in total but theses were my favorite or more interesting shots to work on.
(there's some explicit gore 0:01-0:05 and 2:09-2:11 if you do not want to see that kind of thing 😎)
My partner @pixmintro was the storyboard revisionist for that scene and added it to the inventory and the bit where the avatar was it equipped 😙
I’m so pleased, proud it made it all the way to air! How could I have NOT put the Keyblade in there???
Anyway, this segment was done by Titmouse Inc and directed by Grif Kimmins. I unfortunately didn’t get to learn who animated this but they did such a great job adapting my poses/expressions! Not an easy task for 16-bit characters. Here’s some clips from the episode.
Don’t usually post work stuff but @pixmintro and I just found out a scene of ours is the cover of the Trolls 3 art book!!! His animation is wonderful and my cleanup isn’t too bad either ;P
We can’t wait to get it in the mail and display it in our office!
This is so cool! Yes, @hobbittastic and I were involved in helping do a 2D animated sequence with Titmouse in the upcoming Trolls Band Together! The segment was directed by Simon Wilches-Castro and featured animation by myself, Simon and Anthony Francisco Shepperd and cleanup by @hobbittastic. Here's the sequence! Dreamworks seemed really excited by it cuz it was featured in the trailers too!
"The song of Salvation, how is that coming?"
"Uhhhh I'm working on it?"
Thanks for gif-ing these! I animated these shots. I had a lot of fun building Nathan’s facial rig for when his face is being squeezed. It looks like someone did a retake on Nathan walking backward to include him grasping behind him which is a neat addition.
I’m so excited for everyone to get to check out this movie! So many people did so many awesome things on it!
various screencaps from a Japanese Thomas The Tank Engine DVD in my collection
jesus fucking christ
"i wish i could do something 😔 / i wish the wga had a kickstarter or a gofundme, i would throw money at it" good news! it's amazing how you can literally go onto the wga strike website or the wgawest linktree from their twitter and find links to support writers and other workers affected by the strike
Also, don't let this scare or intimidate you! The pressure is on for these studios, especially with the looming SAG-AFTRA strike. It's the studios that won't last until Christmas without the labor of writers and actors.
I just posted a 52-page digital artbook PDF for the Sublo and Tangy Mustard Nightclub episode on my Patreon! https://patreon.com/posts/85786552
It's got a lot of cool stuff for fans of the show - thumbnails, character design sketches, false starts, sketchbook work, background process stuff and tons of commentary! It also might be a good case study if you're trying to get into indie animation yourself.
I got around to making a reel of some footage I animated for “The Midnight Gospel”, created by Duncan Trussell and Pendleton Ward. CW: Frank discussions of death
Merry Crisis!!! Titmouse posted the 5 second day short I made earlier this year.
I animated it over a week in February. A great excuse to draw a bunch of small town backgrounds. All done in Flash, other than some light After Effects comp to reduce the amount of gradient banding.
I hope this winter is more like the short than the sub-zero, gale force weather we’ve been having.
A film about 2 brothers playing a world building computer game, while they should be sleeping instead!!!
