     Erik was sitting with his back straight align with the back of the chair, head hanging slightly while he examined the words of the book in his hands. There was a skeptical look on his face, brows furrowed together slightly, teeth puncturing down on his lower lip hard. Abruptly, he moved his jaw to the side and inhaled a deep breath when he sensed that someone was behind him.      The mutant leaned his head back, looking at the telepath in the doorway and raising his eyebrows. He had suddenly noticed that he hadn’t spoken to Charles all day. Not intentionally, of course, but their lack of conversation had gone unnoticed at first, and the only thing that made Erik notice it was when he found himself resorting to looking at architecture books in the library.       Erik looked forward again with a heavy sigh, snapping the book shut and holding it up in the air.       ”What do you make of them, then? The Egyptians, and the pyramids. How do you suppose they did it? Hard labor, I would assume, but for some reason everyone else believes that aliens are the explanation. Aliens. Really.”      Erik looked behind him again at Charles, the smallest hint of a grin on his face. 

       Perhaps it was the feeling of loneliness that brought Charles wandering around the frame of the building he found himself currently residing in. Perhaps it was loneliness, or perhaps it was the need for company that had him tracking Erik's whereabouts throughout the building. It wasn't long before he found the other male, leaning against the frame of the door as silence echoed within his ears.           Cerulean hues watched his friend as he paced through the library, the remnants of words dying in the back of Charles' throat. He didn't particularly have anything to say ; his essence only standing in a comfortable silence. Charles was nearly completely certain that Erik was aware of his presence ---- however, it took him off guard as he began to speak.             Charles could only offer a chuckle in return, eyebrows arching in a peculiar mixture of amusement and incredulity.                                 " ---- ... Aliens? Why would aliens invest their time and dedication to build pyramids for a species that doubts their existence? You never truly know, I suppose ... but I'd have to agree with you. Hard labor seems to be the most logical explanation. Hard labor and mutants."          The look of amusement begins to overtake the features of Charles' face, thinly veiled grin mirroring that of Erik's own. 

             ”The feeling’s mutual.”

                "Do you even think about the moronic things                   you do before you carry them out -- ? Or do                   you just PURELY act on impulse?"
