The Incredible Machine 2 (1994)

fuck i remember playing this on my aunts computer when I was like 5!

I played Return of the Incredible Machine (2000) all the time when I was a kid, too. I think someone gave it to me as a birthday present or something similar.

metroid is about isolation

but metroid is also about learning to do trick jumps from random animals who celebrate when you get it right, and about saving them even as the planet shudders under your feet

and metroid is about lowering your gun when you meet the last of a species who's only just hatched, and gently holding out your hand

and metroid is about accidentally calling the name of someone you care about, who you thought you'd lost, and finding out they've been with you the whole time

and about a little scribble of a child with their parents tucked into the corner of a grand mural

and about the gifts left behind by others because they may be gone before they get to meet you, but that won't stop them from helping you

metroid is about love actually

Metroid is one of the best series ever. We just don't talk about that one

you know what, i am right and im tired of pretending i am not

what's just as infuriating (at least IMO) is how a lot of that """critique""" boils down to either "I don't like the gay and someone should be lynched.", "I'm not going to call Rebecca Sugar a nazi sympathizer wile misgendering them, but I'm not going to NOT call them that.", and/or "I'm an adult over-analyzing and applying my own knowledge base on a show meant for 8-12 year olds who probably are not mentally ready for the 'sometimes violence might be justified' and Rebecca Sugar is a bad person for not writing the show for me, a person outside the target demographic."

Granted, I was never really in the fandom and only watched about 11 episodes of the show, but I've seen a lot of people very VERY intently shit on it with that general mindset.

Honestly this.

I watched the first like 2 or 3 seasons, but stopped BECAUSE the fandom was insufferable, and just thinking about the show started making me feel gross to watching the same thing as those people. Entirely because the fandom was the worst.

The internet at its finest...

Since I could only include 12 options, I went for generally the main instalments. Feel free to comment if your fave is one of the others I couldn’t include.

i do love me some BotW/TotK, but Twilight Princess will always hold a special place in my heart

Of the ones on the list, I'd say it's a toss up between Twilight Princess and Majora's Mask, though BotW/TotK are close behind. But my actual favourite is Minish Cap
