“You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on other Fronts you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world. My thoughts on Captain America: Steve Rogers #1

If you’re really upset about the twist ending, then you’re lacking a fundamental understanding of how comic books and storytelling work

I was wrong. Plain and simple, I was wrong.

What started as me thinking this was another knee-jerk reaction from the comics community, turned into a knee-jerk reaction from myself. Thinking I knew everything about the comics community, I formed my opinion without actually learning the other side of the story. For that, I sincerely apologize for being insensitive, and for making an incredibly insensitive statement. After a conversation with @ohmygil  (he’s a good guy. Shit posts a lot, but a good guy), he’s brought to light the real problem with the reveal (not my contrived version) and how unfair and callous my original post was. Again, I deeply apologize for being, for lack of a better word, an imperceptive asshole.
