Evan … Evan … Evan…

The way Tommy says Evan after only a few days, what would we do about him moaning “Evan” the first time they have sex ?

Screaming “Evan” when he sees him get hurt ?

Whispering softly “Evan” when Buck cries watching movies together ?

Saying “Evan” when he’s the one waking up from a coma and Buck is holding his hand at the hospital ?

When he’s on his knees asking for “Evan” to stay with him forever ?

When he recite his vows and open with “Evan” ?

And what about Tommy saying “Buck” when Buck is in trouble? like a parent using their kid full name

After months of dating, Tommy likes tease Evan with a modelesque picture from time to time. He's never been this comfortable with another man before, no one had ever given him the level of attention Evan has. No one has ever made him feel this needed.

HOT 🔥 PILOT:

Something to get you through the day.

Evan 🔥:

ARE YOU FOR REAL RIGHT NOW? YOU CAN'T SEND THIS TO ME WHILE I'M ON SHIFT. I'll get you back, you tease.

**the next morning**

Evan 🔥: Checkmate.

Oh lord … I’m obsessed with them as parents, so it’s not a hardship at all

I want to go back to the start though, to how this family started.

They’ve been together for a few months when they have their first talk about having kids. Buck was babysitting Jee and took her to Tommy’s place since he has a garden and Tommy can’t stop thinking about it for days afterward. Buck in his garden with a kid. The sight was just so good, the way they played and ran around together.

Tommy can’t stop thinking about it. And it’s not the first time he thinks about it, to be honest. He loved to see Buck talking and helping Christopher with his homework and anything, really. Spending the day all three of them at a museum or park while Eddie can spend time with Marisol or for himself.

Tommy actually loves to make a date of anytime they have to babysit the kids, taking them all outside, parks, museums, theme parks, beach, you name it, and Tommy took them there.

So while they cuddle one day, he just asks if Buck ever thought about having his own one day.

And Buck turns around to look at Tommy, because he feels that as innocent as the question is, it is a sign of their growth as a couple, of Tommy thinking long term and he has to face the man for it.

Buck, who talks about how he felt when he held the baby, that he helped to conceive, for a few minutes and how his life just came to a halt. How seeing Jee for the first time on her mom’s chest had his heart squeezed.

He always assumed that his life would fall in line, the wife, the house, the kids.

But if he let the wife cliche go, he still thinks that he’d like the rest. The house, the kids.

And what he doesn’t say, the husband.

Tommy just hugs him tighter and confesses that when he came out, letting go of the potential of having kids was the hardest part, but that with how the world change he wanted to believe in it again.

It absolutely unlocks something between them, this talk of the future, of a future together and of shared dream.

That’s why when two years later, after their wedding, after their new house, Hen and Karen go to them when they had a call for a little boy. A three months old. The child is orphaned, no dad or grandparents filed anywhere, and no one is still alive on his mother's side.

They already had three foster kids, in addition to Denny so having a fifth child in the house would be a challenge, one that they would embrace but when the worker asked them if they had people in mind that would take the boy they thought of Buck and Tommy.

The boys who look at each other, hands clasping together while Karen shows pictures of a small blond boy bundled up in a green blanket.

Buck is the one who asks, “what do we have to do?” and by the squeezing he feels around his fingers from Tommy, it was the right thing to say.

Thanks to Karen and Hen having been exemplary in all the years of them taking kids in, and because it’s a baby, the process is sped up. Not that it’s fast or easy.

Just after the visit, Buck goes on a cleaning spree, pulling out a clipboard and going full Clipboard!Buck on himself and Tommy. The house has never been this clean since they moved in.

The garden is mowed, plants and trees are pruned.

Tommy has even been sent on the roof to clean it and he did with a smile, seeing how serious and excited Buck was, making himself even more excited for this new adventure with his husband.

When they go back to their respective stations after their two days off, each of them gather letters of recommendation and characters from their teams, which also announce to them all that they want to welcome that baby boy in their house.

It takes them a week to have the house ready and their letters from everyone, filling their foster parents’ file with the help of Hen and Karen.

Buck vibrating out of his skin each night while they cuddle, and Tommy doesn’t count how many times he caught Buck on baby clothes websites, but he’s just as bad as him. Having screenshoted so many cute onesies, his ads are now only baby formula and toys.

It takes them one more week before they get a call back from the agency for a first visit of their house and an interview.

They have to wait for three days for a feedback of that visit. Buck is a wreck and Tommy had been asked to stay grounded with how distracted he’s been.

Finally, they get a call for a second visit at their house with two workers this time. The questions are more in-depth.

A few days letter they have a call from Bobby saying that they had a call from the agency to talk about Buck and Tommy. And a day later, Lucy calls them with the same news. Quickly enough, Maddie and Tommy’s brother were called as well.

It takes them one more month, random visits and calls before they get the call.

They can take Noah home starting four days from now.

Buck pulls the clipboard out again, but this time he enrolls everyone.

Maddie and Chimney are sent to the shop to get the formula and diapers, mountains of each.

Tommy and Eddie are painting the guest room, Noah’s room. They agreed on a soft forest green for the walls, and blue for the ceiling with small white clouds.

Buck has Pinterest boards, ok? And he’s going to make this room the best room for a child.

May and Denny went to the shop to pick up plushies and games.

Buck is finally ordering all the onesies he and Tommy saw online and baby proofing the whole house: one cupboard, one drawer, one window at a time.

Bobby making food for them all and helping where he can.

One week later, the social worker come to their house. They’re alone. They wanted to welcome him, just them. Noah will be presented on Sunday to the whole family, but now it’s Thursday and the next 3 days are theirs, and only theirs.

Buck is the one to open the door, his breathing stuttering and his blood pumping in his ears, until he fully opens the door and his eyes fall on the car seat where Noah sleeps and everything quiet down.

He hasn’t felt this calm and quiet since his and Tommy’s first kiss, but after all, his world is changing again today and shouldn’t it warrant the same reaction?

The worker enters and does a last inspection, more a formality than anything else, but it could still mean that she’d leave with Noah.

She goes around the house and leave Noah in his seat in their living room where Buck and Tommy can’t stop looking at his sleeping form.

Finally, she comes back from her inspection and sees how they are hugging and looking at the seat and she can see how excited they are, how much they already love the little boy.

“Do you want to take him?” she asks, and Buck looks at her with watery eyes and nods.

She goes to the seat to free Noah from it and carry him toward Buck’s, who’s himself held by Tommy, and she very gently places Noah in his arms.

Tommy and him looks down at the boy. They know that for now it’s only a temporary placement, that anything could happen. But Noah is in their arms now and they couldn’t feel happier or more complete.

Just got reminded of that phenomenon of “first errand” that happens in Japan.

When children get old enough to, well, go on their first errand like the name says

And thinking about it on “Gakuen Babysitter” when Kotaro brings his lunch to his brother while the whole school cheered.

And now I’m thinking about BuckTommy’s son doing it

They live in a very very very secure area (it’s a fic world anyway so I can do anything I want) and their son has been to each of their stations a lot growing up, even on days off they’d sometimes visit their friends working and bring them food

So their son knows the way to get there and one morning Tommy forgot his lunch, that Buck made for him the day before

And their son who’s around 6 says he can do it, he can bring it to his papa

So Buck dress him in a bright yellow pants and jacket that looks a little like a firefighter jacket

And give him Tommy’s lunch in a bag and the boy goes on his way

Buck who follows him half a street behind, his eyes not leaving his boy and taking videos and pictures of him

His heart so full at the sight of his little boy proudly bringing food to his papa, and once he reaches the 217 Tommy picking him up in his arms and telling him how proud of him he is for doing his first errand

Buck who joins them for a family hug, and they end up eating lunch together while Buck sends the pictures and videos to all their friends and family with a little “Baby’s first errand!” caption

Their son who tell the story of his adventure bringing lunch to Tommy with all the dramatics of a child, making his dads so proud and happy.

Will anyone be interested in the fic where bucktommy run into Tommy's ex who as based on Lou's interview was the one rude and pressured Tommy to the things he wasn't ready and Buck gets super protective?

How Buck's brain works:

I really like this guy, what should I do?

A. Invite him to a another date

B. Get to know him and take things slowly

C. Invite him to my sister's wedding

And then Buck went with C, I love that for him.

Avatar

So I just saw someone calling that picture of Buck and Eddie at the wedding as two frabros

And now I’m in need of frat boy Buck and TA and coach Assistant Tommy

Buck has seen him around the school, going around either in his sport uniform, red shorts and a tight fitting hoodie, or his serious TA clothes, glasses on and soft pullover.

And Eddie has sympathize with the guy since he joined the basketball team for some extra credit, Buck has always stayed away from the sport team, feeling awkward in their mist but there is a new tryout for the basketball team since somebody got hurt and had to leave the team completely.

They’re looking for team and reserve people in case this happen again, and Buck doesn’t mind too much being on reserve, it would give him some credit but with a lot less stress about games and all.

So he goes to the tryout, Eddie is absolutely shocked by it until he sees how Buck looks at Tommy and realize what it is about, snorting bc his best friend has never really been subtle about who he liked even if he never said anything.

Buck who goes all out during the tryouts, until he goes too hard on a block and hurt somebody.

Buck who’s benched for the rest of that tryout game and look so sad on the sideline, he’s looking as much on the game as he’s looking at Tommy shouting advices and stuff, until Eddie sits next to him and pat him on the shoulder

“It’s ok buddy, I’m sure he noticed you now,” he says with a chuckle and Buck just blushes at being called out like that.

In the end, he does make the team, except he’s not reserved, he’s part of it.

It’s not that he never thought about his own ass but since he kissed Tommy that first time, and that second, and third, and now they’re probably approaching the low 200 after a few weeks, he’s starting to think about it

And yeah, in all these years he mostly thought about how to make it hot, how to get girls to look at it and like it.

And well, his confidence isn’t always all that great but he knows he has a good body ok? That’s one of the things he’s confident in.

Except, well, he’s a little hairy, and what if Tommy doesn’t like it ?

Buck has never looked at his ass as often as he is now, each morning after his shower, and when getting ready to sleep

And he doesn’t know how to ask

He knows realistically that Tommy would answer and not mock him but he feels so awkward, he can’t even imagine opening his mouth to ask “so, my ass is a little hairy, is it a turn off for you?” And if yes, then what ? Would he have to shave? To wax? Would he want to ?

They’ve been cuddling on his bed now, getting up to probably around 250/280 kisses now and Tommy’s hands are everywhere, roaming his back, his shoulders, his chest, his arms

And they’re going back to his back, sneaking under his shirt and resting so very low on his back he can feel Tommy’s pinky grazing his jeans and the top of his boxer and he can’t anymore

He pulls back and just blurt “I’m hairy” and he can feel the heat on his face, and he knows he’s turning so red, he’s grateful for the low lights of his room

“Uh?” Tommy is still dazed by all the kisses, he had Buck sucking on his tongue less than 0.2seconds ago and his brain isn’t functioning fully yet

“I mean my ass. I’m hairy…”

“Babe… is it why you were so tense anytime my hand was down on your back?”

“I just… I just don’t want you to be disgusted or anything”

“Baby…” Tommy says before kissing his lips softly, “I’ve seen your legs, and the little bits on your chest you call hair, I figured you’d have some there too and I don’t mind at all. Full disclosure, I’m not a twink either and sure I’d shave if you want me to but it’s not something I do often or ask of my partners”

“Oh … oh ok”

“Were you that worried?”

Buck just shrugs but he can feel his lungs finally able to fully breath, to let go of that anxiety that took over him in the past few weeks.

“It’s ok baby,” says Tommy kissing down his jaw, “I’m sure your ass look amazing, with or without hair”

Buck just snorts and let himself be consumed by Tommy’s mouth, and when Tommy’s hand is back just above his ass, he doesn’t tense when his boyfriend pinkie just teases the top of his ass.

What if they started dating just before lockdowns ?

Everything is the same just everything happened earlier

Their jobs make them freer than most to leave their places but they still have to sometimes quarantines and spend days or weeks at home

Buck going crazy and leaving half done DIY projects around Tommy’s place since they decided to quarantine together so they could at least be sure to see eachother’s

Buck spending hours cooking and cooking, having Tommy trying food at any hours of the day or night

Tommy working on his car, on Buck’s car, on his bike, and going back to his car and going in circle again and again

Documentaries playing on the living room’S TV at all hours

The Amazon delivery guy knowing them by name with how many books and material Buck get delivered there

Currently Tommy’s room is covered in homemade candles which as an ex firefighter make him a little uneasy but Buck is so into it this week that he can’t say anything when a neon green one get added on his bedside table

Just thinking about Buck taking Tommy to his favorite museum in LA

There is a new exhibit and he’s already been with Christopher, the boy love learning just as much as Buck

Now he’s taking Tommy there and hoping that the man will like it just as much or at least not be bothered by Buck’s excitement about it

When they arrive at the museum Tommy asks if they need the audio tour but Buck just blush and say it’s ok, he knows it by heart which Tommy find absolutely adorable

He let Buck lead them around the museum, exploring his favorite exhibitions and the last one, and listening to everything he says, absolutely enthralled by that sweet and clever man

Tommy asking question and even adding some of his own knowledge sometimes and Buck is just as enamored with him

They steal soft kisses every few minutes, both too attracted to the other to resist for too long

They spend all day there, Tommy paying for the overpriced museum restaurant

And then getting something from the shop, telling Buck that it’s so he can remember their date and Buck can’t do anything else than kissing him hard, so hard a grandma next to them start grumbling and complaining about the youth these days

Both giggling into each-other’s mouth before Tommy pays for his goodies and they leave the place holding hands

You Can Always Find Me Where the Skies are Blue (BuckTommy fic) - 1/4

Summary:

Soulmates are rare. So rare that it's actually incredible that Buck has two soulmate couples in his life. Statistics tell him it's very unlikely for him to meet his soulmate. Of course, then he meets Tommy. Too bad it happens at the worst possible moment.

Canon compliant soulmate AU where Buck is still a mess and Tommy is still very understanding.

Words: 4,378

-

Part One

The truth was that Buck never quite got an understanding for how the whole soulmate thing worked. His parents were soulmates which was strange to think about considering his childhood, but then Buck hadn’t known about the older brother he’d been born to save, the one he’d failed to save.

From what he’d learned in school, soulmates had been more common in the past. They said it was something to do with population growth or something about cultural life experience and technology.

There was a lot of research on why soulmates had dwindled, but no one had concrete answers. There was some kind of database where soulmates had to register. So while it wasn’t impossible to find a couple that were actually soulmates, more often than not people settled down with someone that wasn’t their soulmate. A lot of them were happy.

Buck thought that one day, it would seem like some kind of myth. Instead of viewing Aristophanes’ speech in Plato’s symposium as an explanation, it would become legend. It would no longer be an early explanation of soulmates. It would be like Plato’s allegory of the cave, a thing to consider without real life application.
