CATELYN STARK APPRECIATION 🐺

Q: In the middle of all your film work, you landed a great part on “Game of Thrones.” Ho ow did that happen?
Essie Davis: It was quite random. Dan (Weiss) and David (Benioff), the showrunners on “Game of Thrones,” especially David, were massive fans of “The Babadook.” I auditioned for the part of Catelyn Stark right at the beginning. And I was on hold for nine months. But someone else [Jennifer Ehle] got the part in the pilot, and then she was replaced by Michelle Fairley when the show was picked up. Then the part of Lady Crane came up, Richard E. Grant was going to be in those episodes, and I thought, “OK, let’s do it.” So, I auditioned again, got it, and Dan and David were incredibly welcoming and supporting and gorgeous. And we had a great time.

Lady Minisa Whent fue la esposa de Lord Hoster Tully, con quien tuvo tres hijos, Catelyn, Lysa y Edmure.

Minisa es descrita como una mujer de manos suaves y sonrisa cálida. Según Brynden Tully, el rostro de su hija Catelyn es muy similar.

Lady Minisa fue miembro de la Casa Whent de Harrenhal. En el momento de su matrimonio su familia eran los vasallos más poderosos de la Casa Tully. Minisa se casó con Lord Hoster Tully, Señor de Aguasdulces, y dio a luz a cuatro hijos y dos hijas, pero sólo Catelyn, Lysa y Edmure sobrevivieron a la infancia.

Minisa is described as a woman with soft hands and a warm smile. According to Brynden Tully, her daughter Catelyn’s face is very similar.

Lady Minisa was a member of the Whent House of Harrenhal. At the time of her marriage her family were the most powerful vassals of House Tully. Minisa married Lord Hoster Tully, Lord of Sweetwater, and gave birth to four sons and two daughters, but only Catelyn, Lysa, and Edmure survived infancy.

She died in childbirth, giving birth to her fourth child who died shortly after. Catelyn remembers that when she died “some life escaped from her father.”

Has anyone ever thought that Brynden could have been attracted to Minisa? Although good it is a fleeting theory since I do not believe that the Black Fish has done something wrong with her sister-in-law.
