after the scene with Rey’s power going bonkers and her thinking she killed chewie, I fully expected a Force Bond scene with Ben where Rey was really vulnerable and messed up about what she did (or her trying to hold it all in), and Ben comforts her and says something like “you’re not a monster to me, I'm not scared of you”

or if they were going for a darker kylo still in that moment, he could have said something more intense like “you’re the monster I choose.” or a parallel to TFA when he offers to teach her about her power

UGH just why was there no scene between them where they both acknowledged what had happened and we could see them wrestle with with it this movie lacked so much emotional resonance and places for the characters to just breathe and feel the emotional consequences

I definitely related to her power and purpose. Okoye was very purposed and I think she was purposed since she was quite small. When I decided what I wanted to do I was very clear about it. So I could really relate to that about her, about the way that she is so dedicated to her nation and so dedicated to her people and really holds responsibility. — Danai Gurira
