Two years ago today I made the first post for this blog. Two years later and Scootaloo is still just using her bat pony status as an excuse to be lazy about her Nightmare Night costume... At least she gets to walk around in the open as her true self without anypony judging her for one day out of the year.
In addition, we’re right at the 15,000 follower milestone! (Just a couple one hundred shy of it, but it shouldn’t be long and I thought it would be good to bundle them up in one post). So thanks everyone for following! I still don’t think I’ve quite grasped how many people are actually following this blog, it boggles my mind. Thank you so much!

Quick note/reminder from the mod
In light of Season 5 of MLP starting recently, I just want to remind all my readers that this blog’s story split from the canon roughly between seasons 3 and 4. I might make small references to new episodes here and there when it makes sense, but for the most part this blog is an alternate universe and I already have a lot of the story/world set in stone.
Also, new update in the next couple days!
Re-reminder after today's new S5 episode since there are a lot of new followers.
New episodes of MLP are not canon to this comic.

That’s right! I’m officially launching my Patreon to the public!
What is Patreon? Patreon is a new website that allows creators like me to deliver more content to our fans, like you, by getting small to large monthly financial pledges from generous patrons. Patreon would allow me to continue delivering artwork to my fans and be able to support myself by doing so.
I’m coming into a part of my life where I need to build a reliable income in order to live in a place where I can further my life and my career as an artist. I would much rather do so through support from my fans online than take time away from my art by getting a full-time job in order to pay the bills and rent.
But beyond all of that, pledging on Patreon also nets you awesome rewards! Things like bi-weekly livestreams where you can get requests drawn for free, monthly postcard doodles in the mail, early access to new posts and artwork, or even a printed copy of a full commission/request mailed straight to your door! If even only 5% of my followers pledged even $1 per month, that would be enough for me to pay rent and afford to eat while I go to school and continue drawing for you all. So don’t think that something so seemingly small would be insignificant! It means a lot to me, every single dollar!
And before any of you worry, I’m not going to start charging money to see my artwork. There are a couple of exclusives that I’ll offer to Patrons only if we reach certain pledge milestones, but for the vast majority the same artwork will be made available freely in the same forms, as always. Patron or not.

So firstly, as the image above points out, I am officially launching a Patreon! There will be another post with more details about that to follow.
Secondly, I’m using a new layout for panels in story-heavy updates. Using this layout allows me to fit more story into each update and be more creative with the panel layout. A win-win. Plus it just looks cool! Feel free to let me know if you have any feedback about it.
