Okay, so Hoseok did not get any lines in Spring Day. I know that is really disappointing and of course it is completely fine to be upset, but please do not make that the highlighting factor of the You Never Walk Alone era. It is the most common post I have seen in regards to the comeback since the album dropped and to be honest, I think that it is really overshadowing the hard work that the boys have put into producing these four new songs for us.

Sure, that sounds really bitter and maybe like I am brushing Hoseok off, but trust me wholly when I say that I am not intending it that way in the slightest. I love Hoseok equally to all of the other members, he deserves lines and participation as much as the rest.

But let us not forget that Hoseok

  • Performed the entire Wings album intro song – Intro: Boy Meets Evil
  • Had the phenomenal banger of a solo that was Mama
  • Was the lead of the Blood, Sweat & Tears chorus with two big verses
  • Performed an entire verse to himself in Cypher Pt. 4
  • Has lines and verses in both Not Today and YNWA
  • Not only did the intro verse to Interlude: Wings – but has now also got another entire verse in the Outro: Wings alternate remix version that is honestly the highlight of the whole song (in my personal opinion)

Like I said, it is completely reasonable to be frustrated that Hoseok did not have a proper verse in Spring Day – though please do not let that eclipse the fact that he has received so much more exposure over the past two comebacks than he ever has had before. That is something to not only be overjoyed about, but also to be exceptionally proud of.

Line distribution, amongst all groups, is always a touchy subject and can be completely unfair at times, though there is usually a solid reason behind why some members get more lines than another. This time around, I believe it must have been due to the fact that Hoseok made up such a huge portion of the Wings album, which would have been very straining on him as a performer in itself. I would not be surprised if he needed to rest!

I get that all of this might not justify Hoseok having little to no lines at all in Spring Day, though please remember how much success and exposure he has had recently and how great that is for him. Let us try and keep this as a positive and exciting time for the boys because they deserve all of the love, praise and support from the fandom that they can get!

Adding to this post for the people who are reblogging it with comments / tags saying that Jeongguk and Jimin get more lines even though they have had solos too, etc. Please remember that Jeongguk is the main vocal and Jimin is the lead vocal. Of course they are going to have big parts in all of the songs because of their particular positions in the group, which yeah, is seriously biased when it comes to line distribution (especially against Seokjin and Taehyung since they are just sub-vocalists) and it is terribly shit but that is what the Korean pop group dynamic has always been like.

Sure, BTS are not necessarily like other groups and do not really fit the K-Pop stereotype anymore. But they are still essentially a K-Pop group and so the sucky reality is that they become victims to the same issues that every other K-Pop group deals with – line distribution most definitely being one of them, which is generally as a result of their position or role in the group.

just because one member has more lines than the other, it doesn’t mean they’re better or more valid, so one member having more lines than another shouldn’t be an issue. bts themselves know of each other’s distribution and will change it if they feel the need to. they form songs to present their music in the best way they can and agree upon it.

every single comeback armies always find a way to come back to the discussion about line distribution, and the members themselves have never shown any saltiness or complained about it. they’re not going to count lines and time each person bc that’s restricting their freedom to make music the way they want. bts knows what they want to do and what they want their music to sound like and what they want to present. us complaining is forcing them to create music in ways they may not want to. they give us what they put their heart into. how can amounts of words and seconds be focused on more than the content? let’s appreciate what they have worked so hard to give us rather than what they have not.

Drabbles for Donations!

Hi Everyone!

We really want to do our part to help out our friends in the US. So we’re doing a little event!

Donate an amount to the ACLU with your request and we’ll write a drabble!

Here’s how it works:

Leave us an ask with your drabble request and how much you donated to the ACLU this weekend. Something like

“Hi I would love a Jikook royalty au. I donated 5$ to the ACLU!”

This is going to be an honor based system and we really want people to be honest when they send in requests with their donation amount. People’s rights are under attack in the U.S. right now and many families are affected.

We know that a lot of people can’t afford to purchase auctioned fics and stuff like that, so we’re hoping we can offer a more affordable incentive to donate.

Our goal for the weekend is 100$

Here’s how it’ll work:

  • Donate to the ACLU. It doesn’t have to be a huge amount, anything will help!
  • Send in a request with the amount you donated and the group, pairing, and au you want us to write!
  • We write the drabble and post it.
  • We’ll keep track of the donations through the weekend to our goal
  • Drabbles will be a max of 1000 words each!

Groups: Monsta X, BTS, EXO, Shinee

Pairings: Any (cross over pairings also allowed!)

Limits: No Incest, Abuse, addiction. We prefer fluff, crack, awkwardness but some of us can do angst.

The donation drive will start Friday February 10th at 6pm Central time, so get your requests and donations ready!

Help the ACLU fight for human rights in the U.S.!

Just a reminder this is in less than two hours! Tell your friends!

Reblog for a good cause! And hopefully I’ll get out of this writer’s block!

jimin had pink hair for like 2 seconds what happened

Pastel colours don’t last that long to begin with. They probably sprayed his hair for the shoot and will properly dye it when promotions start so it doesn’t totally destroy his hair.

I would love, LOVE if this concept centred around some kind of protest imagery. I mean it probably isn’t but could you imagine BTS bursting through the door of 2017 with a protest anthem for the year? Sign. Me. Up.

Anonymous asked:

forever young had remixes and extended versions of songs tho. what was the point of the wings albums if it was just gonna be a incomplete? might as well have made ynwa a mini album

It’s not a matter of being incomplete?????? Like at all???

The WINGS album was about as complete as it could be, in my honest opinion.

YNWA is a blessing. An addition to something that was already perfect as it was.

Also, taking from what I’ve learned with the Love&Letter repackage. WINGS is BTS’ most popular and best selling album. Ever. Love&Letter was the same for Seventeen. Because it was so loved and well received and earned Seventeen their first win, they wanted to TREAT Carat’s. They wanted to give something back, by coming up with a repackage with 4 new songs and a behind the scenes DVD even though they were crazy busy at the time. It was a TREAT for the fans they loved. They wanted to give something back. (Woozi said so in an interview)

YNWA is a treat. WINGS is BTS’ best selling album and by us getting an EXTENSION of that is a blessing and an honor as an army, in my own personal opinion. Ya’ll can be pissy and spoiled all you want but Bangtan works their asses to the bone and how they even managed to come up with four new songs boggles my mind. By having YNWA, not only to we get WINGS as a whole, new pictures, new concept and new photocards, we get FOUR NEW SONGS.

And if ya’ll remember Young Forever’s repackage ish, we got FIRE and SAVE ME so I can only imagine what awesome shit we’re gonna get from YNWA.

If you’re unhappy with it, no one is making you buy it. If you pre-ordered it, don’t bitch at BigHit for being “vague” when you could have waited for the track list to come out because they always release the tracklist a few days before the actual album release.

Sure, they could have released YNWA as a mini album (and BigHit could have stated it was a repackage, i mean sure that wasn’t cool) but I mean, are people really complaining that they’re getting a full track list along with new content? This also gives the people who didn’t get the WINGS album a new chance to get all of WINGS plus new content.

Also, in my personal opinion, I think it’s hype as hell and now with WINGS+new Content I can replace my WINGS album in my 6 cd stereo and still enjoy WINGS with new content.

I just can’t wrap my head around people being pissy about Bangtan working their asses off for us. Sure, they didn’t HAVE to do this. But they did and they did it for us. I take this as them thanking us for all the love and support, just like Seventeen did.

People can be disappointed, of course, but stop acting like spoiled brats. Ya’ll spoiled as hell.

I agree mostly, except for the “Bighit and BTS are just doing it for us!” statement.

Like...I think it’s more following up on the momentum of wings and getting that money. It’s a good marketing move, but fans still have to buy the songs.

Oh, which is something they can totally do separately btw. They can buy the songs on their music downloading app of choice. They don’t have to buy the repackage albums.
