"Hey, Nine-tails." Without warning, Wukong appeared in front of Ahri, hanging upside-down by his tail from a tree branch. He examined her face for a while before smiling. "You look different, Ahri. You seem a lot happier. Guess that journey of yours turned out to be just the thing you needed." (sun-and-wu)
The only indication she was caught off guard was the subtle flick of her ear as the monkey king dropped in front of her. She smiled at him, shaking her head.
"You could say that.. its been enlightening to say the least but you know, little set backs and some more soul searching definitely helped improve myself."
“You know you’ve got to tell me about it.” In one, swift motion, Wukong released his tail from the branch as his body turned to the side, spinning before landing on his feet. As he landed, he took a brief moment to place a peach on Ahri’s head between her ears. Clearly, since Ahri traveled out of Ionia, he remained a trickster.
“I’m pretty sure the old man would be interested, too.” Clearly, he was referring to the Pathless Ancient. And he’s unable to show proper respect to his elders.
She just shook her head at his antics, taking the peach from her head before taking a large bite from it. Sweet as she remembered.
“Wukong, show some respect to those older than you before you get turned to stone.”
She chided playfully though there was a small edge to it. Ahri knew of his lack of manners but it was almost seconds nature for her to scold him each and every time.
“Well... where should I even start... It was a long journey thats for sure... Though, i wasn’t entirely alone as I had an infamous ronin for company on the boat. We met quite the characters once we landed in Bilgewater though.”
“An infamous ronin, huh...?” The Monkey King repeated, crossing his arms as he thought upon Ahri’s words. Of course, ronin are only a thing in Ionia, so has he heard of one? Oh! Him? “You mean that guy who killed his master and brother?” He didn’t know the human’s name, but he did hear a thing or two about him.
“And you went to Bilgewater, too? That’s quite a ways away. I would be concerned, but I know someone as foxy as you can handle herself!” He teased, playfully nudging Ahri with his elbow.
