Theory: Brad Marchand is the reason Jamie Benn is hot 

@highstik i’m glad you asked because i am on a RUN today with the theories.

okay so we have to establish that before the seguin trade Jamie Benn was NOT good looking and had never heard of a shower or a hair cut. Plus he had some DOUCHEY facial hair. Therefore we can conclude he is not naturally that good looking, like most people he has to try, but all was not lost for when the Seguin trade did occur he went from this to this

now the obvious conclusion here is that Tyler Seguin has style, befriends lame nerd and lame nerd gains style, so Tyler Seguin must be the reason Jamie Benn is hot. But i would argue that they’d be missing a very important part of the equation. Who made Tyler hot?!?!

Brad Marchand.

Tyler Seguin wasn’t always the tattooed, jacked, clean facial hair, effortlessly “cool” guy tumblr knows him for. Bruins fans who have been around for a few years remember when HE was a lame nerd with rosy cheeks whose mom picked out his clothes for him.

Like the spiked hair, the pasty skin. His style was so unforgiving because we can see he’s also not naturally that good looking.

and like look at this, even when he has the cute boyish look he still is severely underwhelming

like my brother dresses that way and my brother is decidedly NOT tyler seguin. actually no. my brother wouldn’t be caught dead in shorts like that. the shirt’s fine but like i said his mother picked out his clothes and i’m sure she has some style.

So what happened to Tyler Seguin between those pictures and 2013 when he established himself as the douchebag everyone seems to think is good looking? that’s right

he managed to turn rookie Seguin, who is still pasty with spikey hair and completely unable to grow facial hair, into a baby bro, with potential to grow into so much more.

not to mention one of his first tattoos he got with Brad, through his shirt off in a club and specifically pointed out that they had the same tattoos. 

I’m not saying Brad Marchand has the best style, or that he has Tyler Seguin’s new found style, BUT he saw the potential and i’m pretty sure he has a type 

So in conclusion, Brad Marchand is the reason Jamie Benn is hot.
