I’ve spent so long drawing male dwarves that I nearly forgot how to draw the ladies. 

I was too busy to post it yesterday but Tauriel is done as requested by Robyn. I’m really happy with how it turned out.

Just a bit of a gift for @fcrestmaiden who certainly does Tauriel so much justice! Tauriel’s a pretty underrated character and deserves so much more love! One of those characters where you’re willing to protect them even if they’re perfectly capable of defending themselves.

I can’t believe that it is almost that time of year again…

Hello, welcome (back) to Kiliel Week! This October, for the second year in a row, we’re putting together a week to appreciate and celebrate the relationship between Kíli and Tauriel from Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit movies, mostly focused on their romance. Despite its controversy, it’s a well-loved ship by its fans– and this week is an effort to rejoice in our love for it!

How are we doing it? In any way we can! Edits, gifsets, fanart, fanfic, fanmixes, etc.– everything goes, so long as it’s Kiliel-centered! Below you have some prompts and you can use for inspiration, and a calendar of the event’s plan!

Legolas and tauriel

I’m making @lady-lucrezia Tauriel’s daggers because I love her and I can. Obviously they’re unshaped at the moment; I need to carve them down and then the hilts at least are getting covered in worbla. But you get the idea. And if I post about it then I’m committed to actually finishing them shortly, so hooray. 

I originally thought they were a lot smaller than this, but no, holy shit, they’re basically 2′ long short swords. So enjoy your set of 2′ long murder blades, Syd.
