For our first episode of the MangoCast, Ed and Patrick sit down with Kodansha editor Mr Mimura at NY ComicCon. The three have a discussion about the editing process, breaking through as a manga editor in Japan and working with some of the biggest names in manga at an early age. Mr Mimura then goes on to share his thoughts about the differences between the US and Japanese markets, and how to work with new talent in Japan. He then gives his thoughts on seinen manga in the US and why it is taking some time to catch on. We’ll be doing these every month or so. So please send us your thoughts on how to improve the program. Also please share the podcast if you know anyone who’d be into learning more about the manga business. Mango On!
