i might have just done something great

I went to bed at 3am last night and was really struggling to get up for a research meeting this morning but I’m so glad I made it because we got to go on a medical home visit today and we visited a patient that was 104 years old!! She was the sweetest lady I’ve ever met. :’) She was super chatty and in very good spirits, trying to get to know us and telling us stories. Before we left, she asked if she would ever get to see us again and said: “If I don’t, promise that when you all become doctors that you’ll try to be as good as he is (my PI, her primary physician).” It was so heartwarming to see how much she trusted and adored him and it made me really want that in my own future career. She also refused to let us leave without giving me a bag of cookies and I’m just :’) my heart has melted :’)

My very first psyc class! I’m used to design classes, so this is an interesting change :) I’m trying to get ahead with this class so I have more time to work on my design projects!

Happy New Year lol! School has started and everything is just the same old messy schedule and missing lessons. Right now I am studying alone using the Khan Academy website that benefits me 100x better than what I am learning in class. I am trying to de-stress by watching youtube videos. I guess that’s all. I am trying to do some math questions just to make my brain active as it is really tiring to relearn the chapters I have accidentally forgotten lol, hope you have a nice day! 🥰

i’ve found that my notes seem to be the most time-consuming part of my studying. because i am on a bit of a time crunch, i elected to do my notes in a google doc for the last two modules of this course. i know information tends to stick better when you handwrite it, but it’s a trade-off i feel is in my best interest.
