Why I’m protesting on Saturday: - Republicans are taking away millions of people’s health care and thus putting people’s lives in jeopardy (before ACA an estimated 2000 people died a month due to lack of health care) - the system is not for the people. For the second time a republican has been elected with out the popular vote -Mike Pence, Jeff Sessions, Steve Bannon and the other people in Trump’s cabinet are not fit to lead our government - No human is illegal and mass deportations would harm our society and so many people’s lives - Trump has a history of not respecting women and minorities - Trumps team has shown opposition to the free press
- LGBT people still don’t have equal protection under the law - Many states are proposing legislation to take away abortion rights - Trump’s conflicts of interest threaten the safety of our country and worry the government’s ethics committee - Climate change and environmental issues can’t wait four years. Environmental refugees exist now. People and animals are dying now. - The protection of citizens (police) needs reform. All citizens are not protected and treated fairly. Accountability needs to take place.
- Women all over are feeling threatened and unsafe - To secure the rights that previous men and women have fought hard to obtain - Roe vs Wade is being threatened - Most of Trump’s cabinet picks, such as Nikki Haley, are not qualified for the position they have been appointed
why hasn’t anyone exploited this band’s name

If I ever really felt depressed, I would just start putting on all my old records that I played as a kid, because the whole thing that really lifted me then still lifted me during those other times. It was good medicine for me, and it still does that for me when I put something on. Isn’t it wonderful that we’ve got all that good medicine? I think it’s got to be all part of our DNA, this mass communication through music. That’s what it is. It’s got to be, hasn’t it? Music is the one thing that has been consistently there for me. It hasn’t let me down.
