I'm in the 10th grade and we are learning about Mark Twain right now. Of course Will and Tessa love to read the classics of their time but did they read books that were released during their lifetime that have become American classics such as Huckleberry Finn or To Kill a Mockingbird?
Will died thirty years before To Kill A Mockingbird was published. Will and Tessa do read books published up to 1903 in The Last Hours.
I like to think Tessa has continued to read widely throughout her long life. That she’s read One Hundred Years of Solitude as well as Harry Potter.
...And suddenly we're all Tessa. :)
