Hey @taylorswift, I’m writing this cause I’m having a really really hard time right now. This is a video of my grandpa trying to make me laugh while I was in the hospital for my surgery last November. Your album just came out so we were listening to it together. He really was the greatest man and he loved how happy you made me. He always would tell me that we would meet and I’d be able to thank you. He was just great and supportive like that. He was a dad to me. I don’t really speak to mine much so he was my father figure. Everyone he met instantly fell in love with his personality and spirit. He was my best friend and my hero. This morning cancer took him and I’m an absolute mess. I’m taking this really hard cause he was the one who raised me. He’s the one who taught me everything. He’s the one who came to all my performances. He’s the one who showed me how men should really treat their wives and daughters. Anyways my birthday is tomorrow and I’m really struggling. I just wanted to show you this video cause I thought maybe it would make you smile. I don’t know.
But I guess I just want to thank you for helping me through this. I played your music to him on one of his last days and it made him smile so thank you. Your music and you are helping me so much right now and I just love you a lot. Endlessly.
