ok so fashion dreamers giving me slight idol land vibes. the sideways maps that make zero sense geometrically. the bad gacha rates. the fact that they literally reused multiple pripara (and pretty rhythm. like they rly thought we wouldnt notice) animations for idle animations and poses. if anything fashion dreamer feels like what idol land couldve been if anyone cared while developing it

your controller is NOT drifting!!! the game has a bug where it may act as though the left stick or d-pad is constantly being held in one direction. this is an issue in the game, it has nothing to do with your controller or console!!

ive only encountered this in handheld mode, but it happened pretty soon after i switched from docked to handheld. you just have to reset the game if this happens, autosave should come in clutch

definitely not a game you should play for 5 hours lmao. play in short bursts
much more similar to style boutique than i expected. youre EXTREMELY restricted in how many items you can design, especially at the start. the main focus of the game is on lookits (aka coordinating outfits for people). i dont think your lookits can be refused? like even if the game deems it to be dogshit its fine
the whole influencer trend thing is in full force. teensy content spoiler but at least where i am in the game, you cant buy more cosmetic options. you can get them from the salon stylist npcs but it doesnt go into your inventory or whatev, youd need to get it from the stylist again. so if you want to pair a non-default hair colour and eye colour or whatever, you cant. really really hoping its unlocked in a future area or something
the online features are really cute, you can make lookits for people and vice versa so its a nice surprise getting one. ive only gotten one so far; clearly its unlikely youll be in many other players worlds in the first place lol. still nice though
early creation options are very limited, i dont have access to patterns yet (as in like. floral check etc patterns), some items have patterns already but im p sure we're meant to be able to add our own right??? .....RIGHT??? 😩😩

It's been some time since my last post, but with Fashion Dreamer coming out soon, I thought it was time to revive this blog. If any of you were around way back when, you might remember Aesthetica, a fan project that was meant to be a spin-off of Nuances, the in-game fashion magazine for the original game and Trendsetters/New Style Boutique. Before the imminent release of Fashion Dreamer, I wanted to make a special homage to the Style Savvy series of games - and that's how this final issue of Aesthetica came to be!
