Eeeeeee!!!! Look what came in the mail today!

The Arcana Tarot Playing Cards

I am a playing card diviner, so this deck was an absolute must have, despite not really having the money right now, but grimoire-of-geekery has a saying, “Add to cart, honey,” which, with his enthusiastic encouragement, made me say fuck it, and get these bad boys.

Now I was not aware of the initial kickstarter for these cards, and didn’t even know this talented artist existed until grimoire-of-geekery received his Oracle kit by the same artist. He was a backer for the Oracle Deck and when he showed me that awesome deck, I started following this artist and did a kind of wistful search on Ebay for them, just to see what was out there. I need you all to understand, I WOULD HAVE PURCHASED THEM DIRECTLY FROM THE ARTIST/SUPPORTED THE KICKSTARTER if I had been aware of it/if it wasn’t sold out on his website. As it stands, I found these on Ebay, from someone who was a backer, and had to have them.

THEY ARE GORGEOUS!!!! I love them so much! It’s a playing card deck with A-10, J, Q, K, plus The Fool, The Lovers, The Tower, and Death. The face cards correspond to typical tarot court cards, and the four extra trump cards are classic tarot imagery with The Fool serving as the joker. They come in a “dark” version and a “light” version, and I had to have them both.

The artist has said that he’s planning on releasing these decks again in December, but with the full set of major arcana! I absolutely plan on keeping my eye on the artist’s site and jumping on them as soon as they’re listed.

I’m so happy with the quality of these cards, and the imagery is just stunning, even the box they come in is fantastic, with little secrets every where, like the infinity symbols on the little flaps, and the Latin phrase on another flap. Even the inside of the box is beautiful with it’s reflective, metallic light blue foil lining. Easy to read, fun to use, and a deck I’m proud to own.

Thank you for such a wonderful review! I am so happy to hear that you love your cards :)
