"I can help stop his insanity. My uncle knows spells and medicines that can sooth even the worst mental illnesses. If you would like, I can give you something to give to the boy to protect him."

He sighed softly and smiled a bit. Hopefully he would agree to his help. "Or I can lay down a protection spell to protect him or his mind. What happens if they get the journal? I also have ways of simple protecting it."

Watching, waiting, concealing himself unless otherwise tempted to be revealed. Listening with malicious intention,  the Administrator found their conversation humorous, albeit  petty. Realms were of no sanctuary to his prey, for drifting between worlds was a concept far younger than he. Where  Firebrand sought momentary lodgings would forever be a cursed location as long as he remained marked- an eternity unless the entity deemed him no longer entertaining.

And he was certainly providing amusement, currently.

Ah, how I've always despised                                                      your kind, meddling in foreign                                                      affairs.

A wicked grin would've been prominent if not for the absence  of features.

Change was something It cared little for; especially if it did nothing in Its favor—such as new emotions tampering with what seemed like eternal bliss and suggestive ignorance on the creature’s behalf. Events of unanticipated dread; even a repugnance towards members of the human race, even a small ounce of fear—though It was not fearful of those seven humans, but what they were made capable of doing, and what Other became present with them. Granted them the impossible, the utterly unthought of. ❝ I’m afraid so—call Me a creature of habit. ❞                           A profoundly defining statement of Itself. Why, the very notion of this creature tenanting Its hunting grounds remained a dubious one; then again they established some sort of decorum in the presence of one another. And while It dressed the fool, It wasn’t so easily duped. It would be watching the Slenderman quite assiduously, the way It watched everything that occurred in Derry, like a child peering through a magnifying glass at the fragile little ants. This other creature wasn’t particularly talkative, however It was curious of him.                                                        ( you are from the O u t s i d e, are you not? )                             Whispered a cognitive voice without gender—or what seemed like a multitude of voices—inquiring of his origin. It understandably assumed this, aware that there were other beings—lesser to the likes of Itself—existing there. A void between the universe and the Macroverse, the todash darkness It simply referred to as the Outside. The darkness which came before the grandiose light show.

Observingwas of his nature, the only habitual performance known of the Slender being. And even then, with mortals certain the absence of eyes failed to imply a lack of vision, not a creature within this realm or his could derive meaning from his actions- aside from malice. Yes, malice, a common adjective shared between the pair.   Ignorance prevailed among humans, simply deriving petty meanings behind the unknown.

From this perspective he ascended from the outside, depths of inky blackness which  their minds failed to comprehend. A pathetic race was the one compelled to title every phenomenon.

                                                                I am.

A simple response, designed only to satisfy a minimal portion of It's curiosity. Though the majority of the entity's silence consisted of uncertainty, never to be admitted, for dialogue venturing to serve any purpose aside from frightening prey was foreign to him.

Observing was of his nature, speaking freely was not.

But you were aware of                                                               this already, were you                                                               not?

what time was it?

well, it was dark, and when he peaked        his head out the window, he couldn’t         see a thing.

by guessing, he would say that it was                the middle of the night. maybe he’d lurk                around the forest for a couple of hours.

it wasn’t like he could be killed        (if the threat arises.)

so he stepped out from his home,          feeling nothing but the thickness          of the air, and set out into the forest.

who knew he’d have anyone lurking behind him.

Branches capered in the relentless wind, conditions which  hardly fazed the Tall Man. Elongated fingers curled around bark as a peculiar presence invaded his senses. His territory, often invaded by ignorant mortals, so rarely witnessed the arrival of  other legends.

And wouldn't it be impolite if proper introductions weren't made?

Paler than the darkness appeared to permit, a featureless face dominated once desolate surroundings. Remaining a ruthless creature, he was fully equipped to slaughter if a threat prevailed. Until that time, however, he sought to satisfy his curiosity.

                                                                       ❝ what a miserable creation.

Quality, independent, in-character SlenderMan Role-Play blog.

I highly recommend this blog, I look up to them greatly.  The mun, who’s name I assume is Callie, is a very good writer and really knows how to run a Role-Play blog.

If you’re looking for a SlenderMan blog to follow, this one is fantastic.  I’ve talked to the mun before, even had a thread with them and both the mun and muse are great.

Caring not for titles gifted by mortals, the creature refused to spare him a  response. How curious the child’s  reaction appeared, seemingly not disturbed by his suspicions. Though he possessed an allure to young ones, they so rarely knew him prior. This one was different, and yet, still so

FRAGILE .

i presume no other legend resembles me.
