Steven Universe - Punching Up
It’s the end of the year and I wanted to spend time reflecting on the Steven Universe comics that I spent the better part of the year writing. I feel like they come out so fast that I don’t have time to properly talk about them. So as the volumes have started coming out, I thought I would take some time to talk about each of the stories featured in each collection!
Issues #5-#8 are collected in this Steven Universe Punching Up, #5-#7 are stories I wrote while #8 was written by the incredible Melanie Gillman! The stories featured in here were some of the first stories I came up with when I pitched them to Boom.

I guess I can share the sketch process and some of the other cover designs I did for OTGW #20. These didn’t get approved but I still kinda like them.
Solicitations are out so I wanted to share the Over The Garden Wall #20 subscription cover I got to do which will be out in November!
I’m so sorry for letting this sit in my inbox.I just didn’t know how to word it right. There’s no singular way to breaking into comics. Best I can say is it’s a lot of luck and self-motivation. Showing what you’re passionate about and having it reflect on your art. Rii has a very good anwer for this you can read on here
Previews are out! I got the amazing opportunity to illustrate for Steven Universe. I was very nervous but I think it turned out great! It’s a super chill story about Lion and his shenanigans.
