Thor is already quite aware of his own strength here. Instead of fearing to get hurt by the Hulk, Thor’s very first priority is that he doesn’t do any damage to him. He realizes the Hulk as one of the most powerful beings in the universe, yet he puts Hulk’s safety first when it comes to fighting him.
