every time you set a goal, you’re making a promise to yourself. if you don’t keep that promise, you won’t be able to reach future goals because you don’t trust yourself to. if you do keep that promise, it will give you the self confidence to be able to accomplish bigger goals.
this thought has reinvigorated me. i’ve been plateauing, staying in bed for most of the day, and just not taking care of myself. now, if i find myself in a rut, i just look at my goals and tell myself, “you promised. you promised to become the person you wanted to be. you promised to accomplish this, and if you can keep this promise, you’ll be able to accomplish much more in the future.”
