I want to see this in Season 4!!!
Oliver and Felicity in the Arrow Cave- I know its gone but their new lair <3
It’s everything you wanted, it’s everything you don’t It’s one door swinging open and one door swinging closed
I started to watched TVD again just for both of them finally getting together!
Excuse me as I try to figure out what Oliver Queen’s scheme is before the S3 finale. This will get long.
So, Oliver and Malcolm, as soon as Oliver accepted that he would have to concede to Ra’s ‘offer’ to be the new Heir to the Demon, planned for Oliver to be ‘brainwashed’ and to trick Ra’s into believing that he had beaten Oliver Queen out of Al Sah-him. He had to do this because Oliver and Malcolm were planning to destroy the League of Assassins from the inside.
That’s Oliver’s end game: The destruction of the League of Assassins. It’s not to escape Ra’s, nope. It’s not to find a way to not be the Heir to the Demon, and go back home. It’s to destroy Ra’s and his league, to rid the world of this menace.
When I realised the gravity of Oliver’s end game, the ambition of it, Oliver’s actions since allowing himself to be left behind in Nanda Parbat became clear and understandable to me.
Yes, even including not telling his team about his plans.
I love everything about this. Puts everything in a slightly different light. I can get with this.
I think this is perfect!
Before I start, I’m going to quote a little BTVS. I am so glad I watched that show before watching Arrow…because that was training ground for Arrow episodes such as tonight.
This is from one of my favorite scenes of the Scooby Gang (equivalent to OT3 in Arrow). It’s in season 7 and Xander’s ex-fiance (Anya and someone he is still loves) had decided to return to being a demon and slaughtered an entire frat house. Buffy makes the call that she has to kill Anya because she’s no longer human but a demon. Hence, the following conversation commences:
Xander: You think we haven’t all seen this before? The part where you just cut us all out? Just step away from everything human and act like you’re the law?
Buffy: I killed Angel. Do you even remember that? I would’ve given up everything I had to be with him - I loved him more than I will ever love anything in this life and I put a sword through his heart because I had to.
…
Xander: This is different.
Buffy: It’s always different. It’s always complicated. And at some point someone has to draw the line and that is always going to be me. You-you get down on me for cutting myself off, but, in the end, the Slayer is always cut off. There’s no mystical guide book, no all knowing council. Human rules don’t apply. There’s only me. I am the law.

I THINK IT WOULD BE SO GREAT IF WE FOUND OUT FELICITY WAS IN ON IT ALL ALONG!! BUT HIGHLY UNLIKELY RIGHT?!
As much as I enjoyed the episode, I felt that Felicity gave up on Oliver too easily, I was hoping she would trust and believe in him till the end. She should know him better than anyone else and should have known that he would never try to intentionally kill them. So that part was kinda disappointing but I am trusting that the writers would fix this next week!!
okay, but real thought now about oliver’s “betrayal”
i honestly think it makes sense felicity and oliver go away together.
what is the most defining trait of olicity’s relationship? their blind faith in each other. i think felicity will be mad for like half of next episode, but after oliver gives her an apology for what he did, she’ll accept it because it’s what they do. felicity doesn’t hold grudge against oliver and vice-versa. it’s not who they are. they let it go because their love for each other is more important than anything. plus, felicity understands oliver wouldn’t ever put her seriously in risk if he didn’t think it’d work.
yet, i don’t think team arrow will “survive”. dig and oliver will be broken up, dig will probably be mad at felicity for forgiving oliver so easily after what she put him through. laurel, well it’s just another bad thing oliver did in her book that she won’t ever be able to let go. so, everyone will part ways: felicity away with oliver, dig going to sara and lyla, laurel staying in the city with her father.
which brings us to season 4 theme of family
I. AM. SCREAMING.
This episode was phenomenal. Absolutely perfect. Can’t find a single thing to complain about. Everything is working out beautifully and I cannot wait for next week’s finale.
Oliver letting the virus be unleashed on his friends? Please. As if Oliver didn’t have a contingency plan in place for such an occurrence. Either they’ve all been secretly inoculated without knowing it, or the vial wasn’t the virus but actually the “fake your death” drug in aerosol form. Or both. Moving on…
Nyssa, good god, how I love you. Fighting it until the end. Now they can go be alone together as man and wife and he can fill her in on his game plan. Just as I had hoped.
And that promo? Oliver pulling his sword on Ra’s while on the plane? Everything is coming up so nicely for how I’ve speculated. This finale is going to be amazing.
As for Olicity, I don’t think we need to worry too much. You hear her in the promo saying Oliver needs help. Doesn’t sound like a woman convinced her man has gone full-evil and actually tried to kill her. It’s all going to be okay.
And I, for one, am so damn excited.
Amen to all of this. Even Ray brought his A-game in the non-creepy humor department. Sassing Ra’s Al Ghul to his face? Classic.
Why do I feel like I’m the only one that liked that episode? It was nerve wrecking and devastating and heart breaking and just extremely sad.
But it served purpose.
They just want us to believe that Oliver would kill his own team. When would Oliver kill every single person he loves? When? He switched the vials or did something weird, but that wasn’t the poison. Remember that poison involves blood coming from the mouth? And I didn’t see any. I think that was just a sleeping serum or whatever. I am not least bit concerned about that.
What I’m very concerned about is how will Felicity react to all of this. She thinks Oliver killed her but when she wakes up and realizes it was all a scheme, will she be mad that he didn’t tell her about the plan or what? God I certainly hope not.
And this wedding nonsense? That’s just gonna be done sooner than we think. It’s not like LoA wedding has any legal binding or whatever. Worry not my loves, Nyssa and Oliver will go their separate ways by the end of this season.
I’m glad I’m not alone !! I thought it was great :) I was thoroughly stressed several times and yelled at my tv, even knowing several spoilers.
I am not alone either!! It was heartbreaking but awesome! I just hope Felicity just continues to trust and believe in him and understand why he did everything!
Fascinating thought. But then why not have Malcolm tell Team Arrow about it being all okay once they were left in an enclosed space to “die?”
In any strategy the more people you have involved the harder it is to control. No one know Ras & what he’s capable of like Malcom. The saying too many cooks in the kitchen is there for a reason. Any strategy, even political coup must be planned by few…and team Arrow is just too close to Oliver
Yes I totally agree with itslulim
Malcolm telling Ra’s was part of Oliver’s plan. Eventually he was going to suspect him so he made it happen the way he wanted it to.
why this episode made me happy
The fact that it made me as excited as it did is the biggest surprise.
I’m curious to see how many are there of you. Let’s be friends!
